Having spent a pleasant day at Trentham gardens with the wife and 5 year old son, play area,Italian Gardens etc, the wife suggested going to Frankie and Benny's for something to eat. I decided to have one of the speciality burgers, which it said came with golden fies and coleslaw. What it did not say was that it would be served on a piece of wood about an inch thick and that the golden fries came in a brown paper bag!! What is all that about? We live in the Potteries, put the food on a plate ????

It's to compliment your dining experience I went somewhere local and they brought my starters out on a slate tile

Fish n Chips tasted nicer in newspaper than on a plate.

Fish n Chips tasted nicer in newspaper than on a plate. Not forgetting the convenience of having something to read if you were stuck in a bus stop or the like

Always wary of these, seems a breeding ground for bacteria, at least a plate is smooth and no grooves or nasty little places for germs to hide, therefore easy to clean.

A lack of plates is a fast track to pissing me off. Why do restaurants think a block of wood or whatever is better. It's fucking not. Evolution developed plates ffs. And not those bloody square ones, round or oval only
