Let's face it the lad could score a first half hat-trick at the Emirates and some posters on here would still piss and moan about a perceived error he made and claim he was shit. What on earth has happened to our support? Half of the squad are shit The manager is mental for allowing Nzonzi to leave and not replacing him with "the right player" The commercial team are shit The shop is shit The beer is shit Oh how I long for the good old days stood in the rain at a good old fashioned stadium watching Stephen tweed and Brian Small dazzle world football with their unparallelled skill and vision. He will never score a first halt hat trick at the Emirates as he is not trusted to start !, about 20% of the squad are not good enough yet, the selling of Huth was a big mistake in light of Ryans injury his replacement looks a poor signing , Zonz is irreplaceable to us for the fee we received, to many if's and but's to feel comfortable about this season, sorry if that upsets you and others that is honestly how I see it.

The last 3 are spot on. The second one is half right. Although I still have hope in Van Ginkel, Hughes didn't have a choice with letting him go. The squad is good but there's about half who aren't good enough for regular Premier League football but are good options from the bench or to play the odd game. I think we have too much of that tbh. Hughes is on a loser with SNZ as folk seem to have elivated him to the level of Zidane since he left. We are not going to attract a genuine world class midfielder of the Zidane, Scholes, lampard mould but that seems to be the expectation, people also seem to forget SNZs inconsistency for at least half of his time at the club. Van Ginkel will turn out good in my opinion. I reckon we have the best squad since promotion. A couple of additions wouldn't harm, I'd love us to pick up Lieva from the bin dippers but I don't think we are looking for that kind of player. Nobody is saying that's what they want are they? I mean it'd be lovely but..... We need better than Cameron/Sidwell/Adam there that's a given. Is Van Ginkel that man? Time will tell! Or don't think he was inconsistent. I never did, he was the heartbeat of our side, it needs replacing soon. We have a good squad but I think the first team is quite a bit weaker than last season without Bego, Shawcross, N'Zonzi and Moses. Bego obviously a lot less than the others. 4 quality players, we've replaced 1 of them with a near equal.

His passing last night, apart from the one Bardsley didn't read, was excellent. Bardsley didn't read he would have needed a motorbike to catch the fucking ball it was that far in front of him, he then had a go at Bardsley I am no lip reading expert and neither am I fluant in German but.......... To me it looked like handbags as Bards moaned at him for the pass and the wolf just gave him short shrift for being a moaney bastard and being too critical. No one gave the ball away more than Bojan last night but I am yet to find a thread writing him off as a waste of money or slating his ability, give them time and get off the guys back, he needs love & support as much as our best player ......Bojan

He runs like a ballet dancer and jumps like a ballet dancer. He looks like he might do you some damage behind those cold Germanic eyes but he sadly heads and tackles like a ballet dancer as well.

Winning the league I agree, finishing top four I agree, good enough for Stoke a mid table solid team ? until we do something special or win something it's the best we can do. Our squad if awesome for a "small" team.

The squad on paper does look marginally better than last season however the first team looks weaker, too many changes not just in personnel but the system been used, it appears that the change in the system is geared towards the change in personnel it is not working Hughes needs to decide which is more important and fairly soon. I believe we still need an experienced proper CB/captain plus a proper replacement for Zonz now, the proof of the pudding will be WBA they are struggling at the moment our chance to put our first three points on the board.

I want him to succeed, I really do but he looks so uncomfortable when passing, almost as if he's trying to hard. He was our best defender last night, on the other hand Barsdley was utterly shocking and totally at fault for their goal and for large parts of last season totally shit when playing. Amazing how these myths grow. I don't rate Bardsley at all but he had a good steady game last night. The goal was purely because Walters failed to track the left back. If that had a been Arnie who left the full back with that much time I would imagine there would be a thread called 'Fuck Arnie off' and we'd be on page 16 now.

The system bit I agree on. If we attempt to do what we did last night against WBA we will be in trouble. Passing the ball around in your own half waiting for something to open up, against Tony Pulis sides does not work. We've gone from a decent counter attacking approach to a display last night that would normally draw chants of "boring boring" from our fans. Hughes needs to rethink that part. I think the personnel are ok though.

I dunner normally single out players for under performing (see how I worded it nicely), but Woolly is no Premier League level center half. (in my opinion obviously). It was Luton, 70 odd places below us and Conference two years ago yet he got done by a 40 year old journeyman and couldn't catch him. Its easy for him and Wilson to play pass to me pass to you and get his stats up. Granted he is reasonable in the air but that is it. The thought of him up against the likes of Aguero Costa and co scare me. Not for me. Keep GC there until Ryan is fit. As for Bojan misplacing passes as someone above quoted, that is mainly expected considering whats gone on, all part of getting match fit. No player came out of last night with a glowing report. Job done and move on.

Wolly looked very composed on the ball last night, and hardly wasted a pass.
I am convinced he will eventually become a fans fav, but not necessarily a Oatcake fav.
And no, i'm not pissed or gay. Smiley

I am hopeful that Philip will 'grow' into his role and just needs time to adjust to the Premier league, much as Bojan did when he arrived...and if Wolly is half the player Bojan has turned out to be I'll be pretty happy! he already had time last year. Bojan needed time but came good coz he's a naturally gifted player. Wolly's footballing abilities can easily fit into a matchbox. There's absolutely nothing going for him nothing at all . 3.5 million flushed down the drain

By God, you must be desperate if this is all you can come up with!! It's embarrassing isn't it I'd like to think it's school kids talking like that but deep down we know they are grown adults The mind boggles It is childish, but try getting that image out of your head next time he plays. But on a serious note he didn't have a bad game, any defender playing without midfield support is going to have a hard time.

View Attachment I honestly think this guy will prove a lot of people wrong though. well if he does I'll cut my balls out, pickle them in a jar for four months and eat them for Xmas. He is the worst player I've ever seen he doesn't even know how to run properly let alone play. Statistics are crap and mean fuck all. He may give 50 precise 5 yard passes to his fellow defenders and his passing star will look great but it will not change the fact that he's completely useless by a fraction of an iota !!!
