Did well last night. Couple of dodgy passes and got robbed in possession by Benson 2nd half and defended the box when required. Those giving him 3's and 4's out of 10 for his performance are clearly never going to be won over by him......

It looks like his feet are attached to his arms by strings and he has to flap his arms in order to get them to run or kick the ball. By God, you must be desperate if this is all you can come up with!!

He had to pass a lot, it was shit (much like everyone else last night bar Ireland) and in one of the few instances he needed to defend he got robbed. Not great but then nobody was.

I am hopeful that Philip will 'grow' into his role and just needs time to adjust to the Premier league, much as Bojan did when he arrived...and if Wolly is half the player Bojan has turned out to be I'll be pretty happy!

I'm yet to actually meet anyone that's watched him and thought he looks like a professional footballer.

I thought it did on here? I'm just being facetious sorry. I agree but on here it seems to matter to some and he is neutral, he knows a lot about football and has no pre-conceptions of Wollscheid. And he'saying the exact same things as people on here who are acting like "school kids". He's got no reason to say what he did other than he watched the game and wanted to take the piss at how bad we were!

At no stage last night did he defend like the £35M rated John Stones has just done.

So he runs slightly funny and at one point in the game he expected Bardsley to run onto the ball but he didn't and they had words with each other. That was an absolute nothing moment, but let me guess, it will go down as part of his 'serious attitude problem' because he once had a go at a linesman?
He won loads in the air and I must have missed all this 'shocking' passing because from what I saw he kept possession very well. Can't find any stats but I expect his passing accuracy is one of the highest from that game.
If anyone from last night had no reason to have a thread made about them it's Wollscheid.

His passing was awful, other than that he didn't do much. He just looks so ungainly. His passing last night, apart from the one Bardsley didn't read, was excellent.

...still not convincing to me Bardsley was frustrated with him at times I was very frustrated with bardsley, I can remember wollscheid playing him a ball for him to run onto down the right it wasn't over hit or a bad pass but bardsley didn't even attempt to get forward, I like wollscheid he struggles sometimes when teams go route one but he's a good footballer and we should support him if he's picked by Hughes

Bardsley didn't read he would have needed a motorbike to catch the fucking ball it was that far in front of him, he then had a go at Bardsley

I would not be surprised if his pass stats for passing last night was high, the opposition sat off all game ! knocking the ball about in your own half unopposed is hardly difficult is it, the majority of balls he played forwards out of our half did not reach their intended target, he was not the only one but mind but to laud his passing in the context of that game is laughable.

That people are slagging Wooly off after that performance demonstrates it really doesn't matter what the lad does, with some people, he will will always be a target.
FFS, give the lad a chance.

He was better than Wilson marking his man even with his slow ostrich stride. Worrisome that more than Wolly, Wilson.

Let's face it the lad could score a first half hat-trick at the Emirates and some posters on here would still piss and moan about a perceived error he made and claim he was shit.
What on earth has happened to our support?
Half of the squad are shit
The manager is mental for allowing Nzonzi to leave and not replacing him with "the right player"
The commercial team are shit
The shop is shit
The beer is shit
Oh how I long for the good old days stood in the rain at a good old fashioned stadium watching Stephen tweed and Brian Small dazzle world football with their unparallelled skill and vision.

The last 3 are spot on. The second one is half right. Although I still have hope in Van Ginkel, Hughes didn't have a choice with letting him go. The squad is good but there's about half who aren't good enough for regular Premier League football but are good options from the bench or to play the odd game. I think we have too much of that tbh.

Hughes is on a loser with SNZ as folk seem to have elivated him to the level of Zidane since he left. We are not going to attract a genuine world class midfielder of the Zidane, Scholes, lampard mould but that seems to be the expectation, people also seem to forget SNZs inconsistency for at least half of his time at the club. Van Ginkel will turn out good in my opinion. I reckon we have the best squad since promotion. A couple of additions wouldn't harm, I'd love us to pick up Lieva from the bin dippers but I don't think we are looking for that kind of player.
