Some man - superb run to win the 100m at the Athletic World Championships.
A true champion.
One of sports' greatest competitors.
Edit - and Jessica Ennis was also superb!
Edit - more successes (Mo and Rutherford) to celebrate so I've changed the thread title.

Never see him in the papers for being a drug taking big headed "mayweather" type character . Seem humble and his sporting talent is blatant.
Thumbs up

A rare role model for our youth and Jessica Ennis, we should promote them at every opportunity.

Had 50 quid on that cheating c**t Gatlin after the heats cause I couldn't see any way Bolt beat him in his current form... Never been so pleased to lose 50 quid by 1/100th of a second! Ennis was superb again, although it would have been very interesting if Johnson-Thompson had managed get a long jump in. I think my money would be on the youngster at the Olympics.

I find it saddening that I look at athletes, in the same way as cyclists of the Armstrong (and before) era. I take no joy from these apparently great sporting achievements. I hope this mistrust can be dealt with.

I think if it came down to the final two events, especially the skilled events such as shot put, long jump, hurdles, javelin rather than the raw speed(800m, 200m etc) then Ennis would have the mental power and the 'know how' to win the gold rather than KJT. I think it showed in the long jump, Ennis would have smashed the second or last jump, even though KJT was very unlucky. Ennis, a bit like Mo Farah, jut has that gold medal brain power that enables them to pull it out of the bag when they need to

She wouldve lost a little ground in the javelin but wouldve set up an interesting 800m. Think the experience will make huge difference to kjt. Think ennis will struggle cope with her in 12mths.

Well they all get dubious looks from me....all the athletes, cyclists, swimmers - they're all at it. You're telling me that they're NOT taking some sort of drug to perform like that - YEAH RIGHT ! Just like Armstrong, one of the top top sporting icons will be found out sooner or later and then the whole thing starts again.....

It's easy to manipulate drugs tests when there's that kind of money involved . Wouldn't shock me to find out anyone was on gear
