What a load of fucking shit. Scholes still blowing smoke up his own anus yet we haven't landed one of our main targets all summer long and haven't replaced our player of the season. He must thing our supporters are mental happy clapping seals. He's right. Predictable Sheiky transfer window verdict.......unmitigated disaster! That's strangely been the verdict for every window since Tone, Parso and Kempo were relieved of the responsibility. You can see the point though given the standard of player in the squad has improved every subsequent window, the level of performance on the pitch has improved after every subsequent window and our league position has improved at the end of every subsequent season. The now profitable football club that has subsequently wiped out the debt driven by the previous blistering transfer windows should take heed. stop being comforted by the happy clapping delighted customers and start listening to the lonely fuckwits who have dug themselves into a horrendous and lonely corner. Glorious response.

Good article but it has always puzzled me why there is such a divide on here and in general over the last 2 managers. Both have brought success of the like not seen since the 1970's!!! As I've always said we played the way we played to survive and make ourselves tough to beat. How we pissed ourselves as West Brazil tika takked their way straight back down as we prospered. We did and also reached the cup final and europe. Now weve grown to be established we can play better football but never look back in anger. The style we played suited the team we were back then and we had great success. Loved the Tony Pulis years, loving the Mark Hughes years love Stoke City Football Club. It is ok to like ALL the good bits about our history you know. Theres really no need to argue like two schoolkids fighting over who has the best toy car!!!

Absolute dog shit. I have long been a critic of the way we conduct our transfers and continue to be so. At least I have consistency unlike the evangelists who now moralise at any minor criticism of the club after defaming it for over a decade, dismissing Cup Final's and European appearances from their pathetic hate filled bunkers. I liked both managers and think they've both done outstanding jobs for Stoke City. Sadly there's some who cant even bring themselves to this day to say that, eh Mark?

As a club we have made huge strides, 8 years in the Premier League and are linked with current international players.
Wake up, smell the coffee, and give praise where it's due.

We are discussing your verdict on the (not yet closed) transfer window. I see that you have resorted to a pathetic attempt to deflect from the fact that you have rampaged around this message board criticising to the point of foaming abuse every time anyone within the recruitment team has so much as farted. Minor criticism my arse! The discussion has nothing to do with my view on the way the football side of the club was managed under the previous incumbent. Please address the points I have actually made. I will spell it out for you again. The football club has been transformed financially and football quality wise by the transfer windows of the past two seasons. This is due in no small part due to the reorganisation of recruitment structure, systems and policy led by the Chief Executive. The supporters are (with a handful of notable exceptions who brand this majority as thick)delighted with the improvement in performance and entertainment the new recruits and philosophy has enabled. The reputation of the club has also improved immeasurably in the wider world. Discuss.

Come on Mark, here's you chance to prove you're not a hypocritical and hate filled bigot who defamed his own club for a decade. Take up my offer. I see you have removed from the quote any reference to my two posts discussing your condemnation of the transfer window and pointing out you were not sticking to the subject matter of this thread by a pathetic and irrelevant distraction Either stick to the subject in hand or I politely ask you to sling your hook off the thread. I'll repeat it for you and remind you that you have passed your verdict that this transfer window is a disaster - just like you have condemned every window since the reorganisation took place. Here is one of my posts for you again. We are discussing your verdict on the (not yet closed) transfer window.

You still can't do it can you. Funny really and a bit weird. I'm pleased with where the club are and have said so just find it a shame that we appear to be missing out on a real opportunity to progress further. I remember a time when we would go to the Town Hall when Coates puled the wool over our eyes now we sell 3 top players, recruit replacements on loans and frees and because some cock in a suit sells it to you in a PR article you swallow it whole and hearty. This is the same cock in a suit who has constantly lied to, ignored, and misled fans without a murmur from the Oatcake. Times change I suppose.

A slightly more relevant answer I will grant you but Christ, the logic is so shit that it really does not cover up your transparent true motivation for rubbishing every transfer window of recent times, does it? You want supporters to march on the town hall and the Oatcake to publish damnation on the basis that we have sold three players this summer and haven't spent a fortune to date to replace them? You criticised the last umpteen windows since the new structure was put into place on the basis we didn't throw money into the pockets of the likes of Tottenham and guess what.... we found out we had actually got better players playing better football. getting better results and we were finishing higher up the league. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that the same has not occurred this summer. I will certainly wait until I see how our new recruits fare in the season proper and trust the judgement of the management who have delivered continual improvement over the last couple of years than rely on your check the price tag approach. Perhaps you haven't caught on yet but the club actually has a wider reach in sourcing players and as such does not have to pay top dollar after referring to the Panini sticker book of players that used to play for Arry Rednapp. It enables us to improve without having to rely on the Coates family sorting out the bank balance. In my view the squad looks to have more depth and potential than ever and is capable of delivering even better than the past two seasons. The window has not even closed yet to boot! I have no idea what lies Scholes has told us regarding transfers so I can't address that or organise a midnight witch burning for him. I'm not inclined to organise a Jarrow March because he wears a suit either.

Brilliant to see a truly positive piece about us in the national press. After seeing Stoke v Swansea on Bein Sports and the ridiculously negative comments about us not changing at all since Pulis left, I thought we were doomed forever to be slagged off in the media.
It's taken 2 years and some big name signings but it looks like we might just get a few well dones when we beat the clubs who finished above us instead of Moses diving or long ball being given as the reason.

Oh, and the owners - who after all run a billion pound plus business - so may know a thing or two, have backed the CEO to the point of making him a director and have kept him round how many years, know nothing about how Scholes does what he's suppose to do compared to the great Sheiky.
Maybe Peter and John want to read the Oatcake so they can be enlightened about what a shit CEO we have. Just read pretty much any one of Sheiky's posts and it's pretty clear.
So the only conclusion I can come to is either the family are a thick as pig shit. Sit there all day with dribble coming out of the corner of their mouths, watching the money roll in. Or Sheiky is talking absolute twaddle yet again.
Let me think...
