Yes, but would you play Crouch instead of Diouf? TBH mate i don't know but the lack of height in our team now is frightening and when a certain capped one visits the Brit in the 2nd home game you can guarantee the ball will be up in the air more than ever.

Although, I'd play Cameron at RB but can't see Hughes not playing Johnson.

To be honest I right now haven't got a clue who MLH will choose! Not even sure who I would pick myself if I was in his boots (good that I'm not by the way)!

You don't think Charlie will start? No chance. The guy is at best an option from the bench to provide an impact. Far to unfit to play 45 mins. Complete and utter arse gravy.

Maybe tomorrow's run out will offer some answers. If I had to choose now, with injuries and such I'd go: Johnson Cameron Muniesa Pieters MVG Whelan Odemwingie Ireland arnie Diouf. Odemwingie the first sub for Walters or Diouf to the wing and Joselu/ crouch in. Then Adam in for Ireland and mvg moving up. Then again I play too much fifa.

The last proper game we played was a 6-1 victory. Why change that team? Obviously Begotten and N'Zonzi have to be replaced, presumably by Butland and van Ginkel, but the other new players have to earn their places.

Only if he planned on losing , from todays we have too many of the new players not quite fit enough ,Johnson looked very slow and muni lost the ball too easily in dangerous areas . I think the starting team tomorrow will be pretty much the Liverpool one
I would guess Butland Cameron Shawcross ?????? Could do with a new signing here any one of muni , wilson or woolly Pieter's Whelan Van ginkle Walters Adam /winge Arnie Diouf

Be tempted to hit them with. -----------------Butland--------------- -----Cameron Shawcross Wilson Pieters--- ---------------Whelan Adam--------------- ---------Walters Afellay Arnautovic------ ------------------Diouf----------------- Sweet bench. Quite right. You have to keep with the team that finished last season so well as much as you can. With Bojan not being ready and the two departures, I think that looks about right, especially after how Muniesa played today.

Any team without Walters would be laughable.
Liverpool are terrified of him after the absolute battering he gave their defenders in the 6-1 rout.

Keep the momentum from the off with the potential to introduce someone new and funky off the bench. A toss up between Wilson and Muniesa, but if Ryan isn't 100% and there's any chance of Benteke starting then I'd go with Marc, er Wilson. Can't quite comprehend that it's only a week away.

Butland Johnson Shawcross Muniesa Pieters Whelan Van Ginkel Adam Walters Arnie Diouf Although, I'd play Cameron at RB but can't see Hughes not playing Johnson. If Geoff plays at Rb tomorrow and has a good game then I think he will play there on Sunday . He might be needed as a cb if shawcross doesn't feature , although MH may go with wollscheid and muni

I wouldn't bank on Johnson starting , he looked way off the pace today and Rogers will target that weakness knowing him so well

Having beaten Liverpool six in our last league game our repeat fixture poses all sorts of problems but they are not on the field of play. I feel the issues will arise from our so called fans who will be on here moaning and groaning should we lose. Since that fixture we have lost Begovic and Nzonzi. Two outstanding players who Hughes is going to have to replace. Even with these two players we wouldn't replicate that 6-1 result. I personally feel Hughes has made some terrific buys in Van Ginkel, Joselu and Afellay. We have an outstanding young England goalkeeper chopping at the bit to prove himself. I can see Hughes going with much of the team that played in that great fixture last May where he can. What he doesn't need is a load of weak kneed moaning fans ready to moan. There are forty six games in a season and we have some promising players who will be giving their all for us and the team. We just need to do our part by getting behind our players on a match day.

I think we'll be looking at Jack Johnson Ryan Muni Eric Whelan VG Affelay or Walters Adam Arni Diouf A real reason not to worry after today. Johnson is nowhere fit enough to start on today's evidence. Bardsley has to play and maybe Wilson ahead off Muniesa? I'd go for Walters just ahead of Affelay to start, although I'd gladly bring the latter on for the last 30 mins as he impressed me today. The saying 'You're only as good as your last game' certainly applies if you think Wilson should start ahead of Muni

We are weaker now having not yet replaced nzonzi. We also need to bring in a top quality winger.
Starting to get anxious about this transfer window.

I don't think Johnson will start either, combination of lack of fitness and opposition, Cameron there for me.
I would go;
Butland Cameron Ryan Muniesa Pieters (if fit) Whelan Walters Adam Van G Arnie Doofy
Juicy bench with some flair too

Van Ginkel is on loan a carrot in the Bego deal too sweeten the low transfer price, the problem is the club stated that they would be pushing the boat out this summer, such signings as Wolly, Johnson, and Given would indicate anything but, concerning signs in my opinion.
