i think BT have been stung,if sky wanted to screen champions league footy it would have out bid BT.skys research revealed that actual viewing figures for champions league football did not warrant paying silly money to renew the deal, many BT sport subscribers will down grade their subscription to avoid paying money to watch the champions league football.

Sky used to have the lot though, didn't they? Their offerings look pretty slim now - apart from the jewel of the Premier League.

I think this is a big blow.
Can still watch all the footy you could ever dream of on streams, but still, think Sky have made a mistake here.

Sky are getting royally mugged off if this is true! All they'll have is PL basically, and even that isn't exclusive... Wouldn't want to be a Sky customer right now

Sky may get Serie A or French football because their main games are usually on Sunday night and that's the BT main European football slot. But it's still a massive loss for them.

my gripe is how do Sky get away with upping their prices despite losing both the Champs League and La Liga. Im definitely not renewing with them after my contract is up - i only took it cus i got 50% off

I can only guess that these extra rises must be going straight into Thierry Henry's back pocket. Henry is on a six year deal with Sky that's worth 24 million pounds. WTF is all that about and how on earth can Sky justify it.
