So you had followed the careers of Joselu and Van Ginkel closely then had you? Van Ginkel to a point yes but he hasn't done very much due to injury! EDIT-the point being when he joined Chelsea... I forgot about Joselu it has to be said (I keep doing that). I'd seen a bit of him in the highlights and a few games I'd watched. But again I haven't commented on him other than I can't see why we needed him (that would have gone for any striker signed) and that he looks a tidy player and I think should do well. So I was right then. You knew and still know very little about their abilities as footballers  |

Van Ginkel is very talented but had his injury problems and will offer a different skillset to Fonzy. Joselu is a target man who will link up play and do a very similar job to Crouch. BT Sports is marvellous it really is! I only tend to watch German football on it mind. |

I like Sherwood, there's not many managers that would come out after the game and praise a crowd for being very hostile to one of his players like he did when we gave Danny Rose dogs abuse.

nice to see all the negative comments  but without making any stupid predictions i think we'll be ok, things had to change and the first thing he has been forced to change is relying on Benteke, Sherwood has said himself he played a certain way to get The Villa over the line to survive, the cup run was a bonus, he knew he had inherited a poor side with no confidence he kept us up now he's building his team, with the exception of Adeybayor and Berbatov[if they come]the one thing all his signings have in common is pace, your gonna see a very high tempo game from us this season and also a very attacking side, ultimately he might fail but come what may it wont be boring |

He will keep you up with his goals in the first half of the season,you will never notice him again but by that time you will be safe  |
