Sherwood thinks he is far better than he actually is, he will be found out soon enough. With Benteke gone it wouldn't surprise me to see Villa go down.

Well there's reports him and Villa have had a million turned down for Lescott.
That's a retaliation for WBA £2 million bid for Clarke. So at least you can say there is a sense of humor even though he is a complete and utter weapon.
That aside I can see villa struggling. A lot of money spent on questionable untried talent. Losing there spine plus there only bit of quality in Benteke. Plus Sherwood on the whole is totally inept. How he has a job in management is a complete mystery.

I think Sherwood is a decent manager, but as said above, Benteke is a big loss, if they don't replace him they will be in trouble.

Looks like it'll be Adebayor and Gestede to replace Benteke, good luck with that.

Sherwood is an utter phallus.
Sees himself as an intellectual when in reality he's a marauding great chode.

Well if you ask him he will tell you how clever he is. Very high opinion of himself and his managerial acumen.

All you have to do is think back to Newcastle and how badly they struggled with an influx of French players in their squad. They've paid way over the odds for Jordan Ayew as well, they could've signed him for a third of the price in January. I think they'll be bang in the relegation mix again personally but time will tell.

It's quite fashionable to dislike Sherwood because he's a bit different and he projects himself as being confident in his abilities. He's an easy target.
His managerial record to date is not bad though but most people are not interested in that part of it.
He's got a difficult job on his hands at Villa but let's see.......

The media love in with him hasn't helped his image. In every televised game the camera spends more time panning to him looking for a reaction than it does following the play. I think he seeks this attention and contrast him to someone like Mark Hughes quiet unassuming and incredible belief in his own ability. Master Sherwood has much to learn before his self elevated status is actually achieved. The inclusion of a bit of humility would help.I am glad he is at Villa and not SCFC

It depends if they're good players or not surely? Just because they're French/from the French league means naff all.
I've never heard of most of 'em so wouldn't like to comment!

The ostrich himself did a better job of keeping leicester up. He didn't do anything at Tottenham? There a club who have had one season of champions league football and he wasn't responsible for that. Name me his achievements other than getting a few points for villa and doing the same as any spurs side has done before.

Losing there spine plus there only bit of quality in Benteke. Plus Sherwood on the whole is totally inept. How he has a job in management is a complete mystery. to be completely fair....the outgoings won't be down to the manager. there's no way that Sherwood would have let go of Benteke and Delph if he had the choice but if clubs trigger release clauses then it's down to people above Sherwood's level. he then has the problem of trying to replace those players and with the lack of quality all over the pitch in general and with the board sanctioning the sales of the good players they DID have it then becomes extremely difficult to attract anyone BUT questionable, untried talent. not an awful lot Sherwood could have done about the players that have gone and, consequently now there's little he can do about who to bring in. Sherwood may be an absolute arsehole in general but he's been shafted by a club who is owned by a man who apparently wants rid for the sake of the club and the fans so they can all move on but at the same time is completely unwilling to actually invest a bit to ensure they, as a club, are an attractive option for someone to actually buy off him! they've been struggling for 3 or 4 years now and until they invest a bit to stop looking like a team who'll flirt with relegation every year, then no-one else will buy Lerner out and invest the money they badly need! Mourinho could go to Villa and be on a hiding to nothing...no win situation for anyone who takes them on at the moment.

Van Ginkel to a point yes but he hasn't done very much due to injury! EDIT-the point being when he joined Chelsea... I forgot about Joselu it has to be said (I keep doing that). I'd seen a bit of him in the highlights and a few games I'd watched. But again I haven't commented on him other than I can't see why we needed him (that would have gone for any striker signed) and that he looks a tidy player and I think should do well.
