Since moving from Scotland I have never managed to find one in England. For anyone unfamiliar with this dish its just deep fried pizza. Any Scots had the same problem or found somewhere that sells these?

I thought from the title that this thread was going to be about food stuffs that sound a bit like a Stoke player like, for example, Piece of Stilton.

I have to say that after visiting different parts of Scotland several times it has to be one of the worst places on the plant for cuisine . The chip shops are something to be believed ...Deep fried everything from Marsbars to Pizza to sausages ....almost everything
As regards Pizza .....well I would never consider buying one for a meal . I don't mind the occasional one bought from a supermarket , but there's no way I'd buy one from a restaurant menu . Strange perhaps ? I don't know . I just wouldn't pay £8-10 for a flat piece of bread with cheese and tomato on top of it .

Cheese and Tomato can be just the base though Mumf ....various other toppings can applied to a Pizza , seafood for me is delicious .

I first encountered one in the early 80s I think, in a chip shop near to Dumbarton station when waiting for a train to Helensburgh, I ordered a pizza and when I saw it thrown in the deep fat fryer I advised him that 'I wouldnt be eating it' and left his establishment

Food poisoning is no laughing matter ...I have twice fell foul . The second time was a battered fish that had been on the shelf for three days .
I was shitting in buckets for a month . Off work for six weeks and lost two stone . I lost so much weight that by the end I could actually see my feet when I went for a piss .....
Fucking terrible it was . I ruined three pairs of trousers and dogs used to follow me everywhere ....
Crap.

In short then you can't get one in England. £3 for a full pizza with chips and a can of irn bru is clearly not liked this side of border

Don't knock the jocks. Deep fried pizza is loved in its home country of Italy.
