I think it's the " of course against Stoke " statement that is a little rankling
Depends on how you want to take those 4 words mate

I wonder if there's any mention of the play acting that followed the awful tackle.

It's not so much the article that bothers me,it was an awful tackle,it's the comments. We're still a thuggish team who everyone hopes gets relegated apparently

Your right there was no mention of him feigning injury and looking up to see if his overreaction had got Bardsley sent off. I really do think the press have an agenda against us which is affecting our transfer business.

Is this the same saintly Eden Hazard that kicked a child in the stomache because he wouldn't give him the ball?

I didn't read it as a slight on Stoke. I think it's poor punctuation and misunderstanding from the journalist.
A lot of foreign individuals use "of course" at the start of a sentence. "of course, (the tackle) at Stoke - Bardsley" is probably how it was meant, as opposed to "of course against Stoke".
What is more worrying is that Hazard apparently has no malice in him. Could have swore it was him who tried kicking shit out of a fifteen year old ballboy...

It seems to me that it is the reporter jibing at Stoke whereas Hazard accepts it as part of the modern game.

It's not so much the article that bothers me,it was an awful tackle,it's the comments. We're still a thuggish team who everyone hopes gets relegated apparently I never felt that we were overtly dirty though. It's a bollocks tag that we'll probably never lose. I think of Leeds as a dirty side, I've not even watched them for years! As footy fans, I suppose we're all guilty of stereotyping other sides a bit.

I look at these sorts of articles, and the comments from the USA and Australia based Chelsea/Arsenal cuntstains, like this. Everytime an article like this is created, we feel persecuted against, our seige mentality increases and we grow stronger as a fanbase and as a club. If a time comes where the media finally stops giving us negative publicity (provided it's not because we end up back in league 1 where we'll be getting no publicity) then the wider perception of our club grows stronger. The rest of the world are too fucking stupid to realise it, but we're in a ridiculous position whereby we can't lose either way.

It was a bad tackle, but there's been plenty more as bad and worse since.

I think we're honestly aggressive, which sometimes comes with mistimed tackles, which always looks terrible. The main problem is aggression was outlawed in the Premiershit some time ago.

What a sissy. It was a bog standard, mistimed yellow card tackle.
Seeing an article like that actually makes you slightly ashamed to be a football supporter. Football is an absolute embarrassment sometimes and the likes of Mourinho, Wenger and Hazard are only making it worse.

What nonsense. It was a mistimed tackle - play on!
No contact of boot on shin, studs on knees or back of ankle, no knee into groin or elbow onto cheekbone.
The worst challenge of last season was the one that ripped open Stephen Ireland's calf.

If there was anything horrific about the incident it was the winger's rolling around on the ground. It should be a straight red for a single roll and a one month ban for any further rolls. Injured players never, ever roll on the ground umpteen times.
