If he stays free of injury he will be one of our best players this season. His reading of a game is awesome interceptions etc.

I love muniesa, his biggest problem could be staying injury free. He definately has the talent!

Now N'Zonzi has gone, Muni is the chief effortlessly sublime footballer at the club, on a free transfer he's one of the greatest bits of business I've ever seen, and if he has a season without being blighted by injury, I fear he won't be here next Summer.

If he can stay injury free he's a better centre back than Ryan imo.

If he can stay injury free he's a better centre back than Ryan imo. I actually think he's the perfect foil for Ryan, Bayern, while being a totally different player. He gives Ryan time to be the bare knuckle defender he is while he nips in and out making intelligent interceptions. Can't believe how good he is in the air at times as well. Great partnership.

They're the perfect combination. Keeping them both fit will be key to us finishing higher up the table.

Yes. I love Marc. As others have said, I hope he stays injury free. There is a touch of class about him.

I'm afraid his injury woes will mean he won't get a big club in the future. Lovely player and person to have at the club. Mark and his team are very happy with him.

Will Everton come sniffing, once Stones moves to Chelsea Nope, Martinez wouldn't recognise a good centre-back if one shat on his head.

First time I ever saw him play away at birmingham in the cup I thought he was class. Just little snippets of skill and awareness. Seems like he takes the game of football and the position he is in as a gift from the gods. He works hard, trains hard, looks after himself. So lucky to have blokes like him round the club. Absolute quality and I hope we can keep him a long time.

He still needs to work on staying put rather than suddenly ending up in a completely different position.

Just a great example of a player who Stoke have taken from obscurity and turned him into a really solid and exciting player, hope we keep up the good work and we'll soon be in Europe again

Will Everton come sniffing, once Stones moves to Chelsea Nope, Martinez wouldn't recognise a good centre-back if one shat on his head. To be fair, that's not generally regarded as a key skill centre-back-wise.

Why do people keep linking him with Everton? just because Martinez is Spanish? because I can't think of another reason.

Well a great signing by Mark Hughes, undoubtedly the link with Barcelona played it's part.
An outstanding talent, the signing was a little bit of extra risk due to his injury history
Once through the door, he appears to be a great ambassador for the club, surely played a part in convincing Bojan to join us and who knows who else may follow.
He has waited patiently for his chance in the starting 11 and has shown that he has the all round ability to start each week
If and it's a challenging "if", we can move up to the next level and play in Europe, then it's likely that he would be guaranteed first team football with us
