The site, along with much of our off-the-field PR, is pretty shite.
We didn't even have a YouTube channel until last year, and even now it's pretty bare.

Begovic is all over the YouTube channel and email marketing branding too (and they hadn't even changed the Warrior kit launch photo/branding on the email comms until a couple of days ago).
Wonder how long it'll take the club to get rid of the Britannia branding from the stadium when the time comes?
Very poor, Stoke.

They should send our PR/IT folks over to Orlando City to learn a few tricks. One thing you can't say is shite about MLS are its PR and IT, both top shelf and Orlando is one of the best. Tattoo that on yer 'aris!

Nothings the Chief Executive of the years fault surely? Everything is just fucking perfect.
Nice to give the opportunity to fans to wear the new home top for our debut in the Asia Trophy as well I thought.
Imagine if we had a club that had a massive launch but didn't have the home kit on sale for the summer holiday period. Imagine having a club run by blazing incompetents like that?

To be fair, we had Faye on the side of the stadium for ages. Is he still there? This is nothing mate. I think N'Zonzi is on the front of the new merchandize catalogue too

Scholes is apparently shit at running the club and a fucking disaster in the transfer market (according to you), but the people whose money is been thrown down the drain and who will see the quality of his work on a daily basis, seem quite happy? I know the owners only run a billion pound business so they probably aren't used to moving failing employees on.

i noticed on the stream (at work... but the IT guy was happy watching it too as a Boro fan) that there was a large contingent of Everton and Arsenal Shirts. Have we dropped a ball by not having Stoke shirts available for sale and thereby increase our footing in the Far east or did they have access to shirts and no one bought them? I am sure a few "Crouch" shirts would have sold quite well...
Are we still "small time" in our distribution and not selling the shirts elsewhere apart from the Stoke Store / New Balance?

Just thinking too, we could have used the new "sponsorship" charity logo as a one off sale with proceeds going to the charity as well as Stoke/New Balance. That would have raised awareness and been a PR goldmine!

While I can't agree with everything sheikhmomo says all the time, the chief executive should be doing better in his job regarding merchandising and PR. To be flying out to our first ever appearance in Asia without guaranteed stocks of home shirts is shocking. I would hope as a result of this fuck up from New Balance we aren't honoring the full price of the contract as they have well and truly fucked us regarding sales. The IT and PR department is also an issue that's needed addressing for a long time, while I am grateful we do have a Youtube channel now, it would be good if we actually had something worth watching. Regarding player transfers it's a tough job because you can't predict when your cover star is going to be sold it can happen within a day.

The website is just a off the shelf CMS system sold to most premier league clubs of our size. Based on what I've seen none of them know what the fuck their doing. It's embarrassing seeing how sister club Orlando City handles PR, social media, fan experience, ok presence etc in comparison.
To be fair when you have people who work for the club who make statements like this...who's surprised? It's not the first time this guy has made derogatory comments about fans. Not often I complain about folk but his attitude stinks at times, not sure who he thinks he is.

Of course the owners aren't infallible - but they would have to be fucking certifiably brain dead for them to miss the level incompetence that you present.
Of course the owners make mistakes - but they're not going to stick by someone who's stopping the business progressing - that would be madness.
"Now for the millionth time" - yeah, right.
Of course Scholes makes mistakes. Everybody does. Everybody fucks up. He's got different priorities to what we may think he should have - but that's down to the owners.
There's things the club are crap at. Maybe it's the owners deciding where they want their budget is spent?
The problem is that if you blame him for everything, no matter what, then people get fed up of your rants.

You don't think going on our first major brand building goodwill exercise in the Far East without our new home kit launched is somewhat of a major fuck up, a PR catastrophe and costing the club lots of money? Who do you blame?

Who do you blame? A PR catastrophe? Give it a rest. People who were going to buy a top will almost certainly do so in future. In may cost the club a bit, but in Premier League terms - next to nothing. Maybe they don't see 2000 shirts. What that in terms of profit (keeping in mind what NB take) - £50-60k. A weeks wages for one of top earners. I suspect the owners don't give a shit about that in the scheme of things. Who's to blame for not getting the kit in in-time? Maybe it's the supplier? Maybe it's Scholes? Maybe it's the owners? Maybe it's some of the other employees? Maybe it's just a fact of life that we may not be our supplier's top priority. "I've got Mr Scholes on the line asking where Stoke's kit order is". "Tell him he'll have to wait until we've got Liverpool's done. And Seville's. And Celtic." I don't know. Neither do you. But you decide to blame Scholes anyway.

Trips to The Far East are brand building, shirt selling exercises nothing more, nothing less and we haven't even got ours on the market. This isn't the first kit launch fuck up either is it? It's the fourth at least. Just like Mark Hughes when one of his players fucks up Scholes has to carry the can when things are so utterly shit off the pitch and if the owners aren't pissed off they fucking well should be. Premier League on the pitch, Conference off it. I suppose on a positive note, if the kit is delayed further, they'll be able to tell us on the tannoy when it will be on sale during the Liverpool game. Oh hold on......
