Still another reason we really shouldn't have sold Huth. I'm not wristslashingly depressed like some of the others on here, but you have to wonder what we were thinking selling an experienced centre back when our two others are not right fitness wise.

I love how so many of the medical and physio team at the club post on here, everyone seems to have an in depth knowledge of our players physical conditions.
Arnie had a bit of a hamstring pull last season, he must be fooked too! Why haven't we bought in more wingers, we let Moses go back to Chelsea without a fight! The club is run by clowns and monkeys obviously.
Jaysus wept! This board is depressing sometimes

yea no pieters or shawcross. so i think it will be Bardsley Cameron Wilson Muni To be honest if the futures going to be Ryan and Muni at centre half then I think Muni should play there at every opportunity, so I'd stick Wilson at left back.

Anybody would think we'd be playing our first year YTS lads tomorrow and not premier league footballers!

What a load of crap! We are talking about Stoke City starting their preparation for the new season. There is no way players will be to go out and play as they would in a league game. The priority is not about being the winners of this tournament. It will be the same mentality from the managers of the other teams. These games offer the opportunity for Mark Hughes to experiment, to see who he can put his trust in and also to consider who to move on and who we might bring in. I personally makes me embarrassed how fragile how faith in Stoke and it's players is.

What a fucking disgrace.
We're Stoke City, we shouldn't have injuries.
And we should have at least 8 players to cover each position.

Really hope Ryan doesn't struggle with this back injury this season but it seems to be a recurring injury now. I still think it was foolish to sell Huth so quickly. Hopefully Charlie doesn't stand on Tex's toes in training.

The manager takes a precaution to make sure they're back stronger for the PL Season and this messageboard explodes. Good Move MH.

Yes a manager selling a player he doesn't want and buying a player he wants is very silly indeed. He's lucky he's still got his Job. Good job he fluked 9th to give himself a bit of leverage.

I think the concern is stemming from the fact that the back injury was there last season and it was hoped that a summer of rest would clear it up. Now either Ryan has been humping 3 'be' 2 flags round his back yard for 6 'wick' or the rest hasn't helped much.

Wolly's performance at Blackburn was embarrassing, Sunderland he did his best to repeat it. But Hughes knows a damn sight more than me about proffessional football. So I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life posting on the oatcake about how bad a deal it appears to be.

If we had kept Huth surely we wouldn't of signed Wolly? Regardless of what you think of their ability, we'd still have the same numbers of defenders and still be in the same situation. There's no way Huth would of stayed if he's been told he's 5th in the pecking order.

Plenty of cover the bigger risk is the 6 months it could take Bojan to get up to speed which with SN gone exposes the lack of midfield creativity which is chronic Now that's what you call Benji "Plenty of cover.." that's verging on positive, I fear the biscuit's account has been hackced!!!

Been saying all along since his last back prob that will be a regular thing now......very rarely clear up. Also been saying our defence is not prepared for a season with the crocks we have, yet all we constantly hear about is attacking players WALOFB .!!!

More likely Cameron will play centre-half if Wilson has to go LB. Then after 20 minutes Muniesa will come off with a hammy I agree Cameron as a CH
