If anybody has made a team or might be interested in joining then ask alster any questions... The problem is alster most don't know and cba to find out what it is - I don't really understand it so try explaining what it is and that could work to gain more people in ur league...

How much money does the Premier league need????? I love a bit of fantasy football but how can they only pay out £35,000, when they must get at least £500,000 (conservative estimate) from entrants fees???

Last season I think there were about 22,000 players, meaning an income from entry fees of £110,000. Take away administration and a profit the prize money isn't ridiculously low IMO. It's a bit of an interactive gamble and your fiver lasts you about 8months so its not that bad.

The problem is alster most don't know and cba to find out what it is - I don't really understand it so try explaining what it is and that could work to gain more people in ur league... I entered this last year so here is an outline of how I believe it works:- You pick a 25 man squad consisting of 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders and 6 forwards. Each week you then select your starting 11 from that squad you are then left with 7 players on your subs bench and 7 unusable subs for that gameweek. As the weekend games progress you can replace players in your original starting 11 with players from you subs bench. For example if you have Aguero as one of your starting 11 and he plays on the Saturday but doesn't score you can replace him with a player from your subs bench who is playing in one of the Sunday or Monday games, you lose any points Aguero has scored that week and get the points of your sub instead. You can also change your captain from one day to the next providing you have someone who is yet to play a game when you make the change. There are eight transfer windows during the season where you can make changes to your squad, you can make up to four changes each week from weeks 1 to 4 and 3 changes each week from weeks 20 to 23, unlike the regular game a players value remains the same for the whole season so your budget remains fixed too. This can cause a problem if you have a player who gets a long term injury after gameweek 4 as you are stuck with him till week 20. For a fiver I thought it was good fun and while winning the overall league is tough, you only have to have one really good month to win a grand.

Hope to get a few more entrants just to make the league more interesting and challenging. Anybody can join you don't even have to be a Stoke supporter. I thought about chuckin other teams fans out last season but once I realised Id have hardly anybody left I relented. Drew the line at a fookin Arsenal fan mind booted that cheeky tw4t.

Any chance of a head to head league Alster ? Cheers. If there was a bigger take up in the classic league I would have gladly created a head to head as well but numbers are too low to make for a decent competition it would be like the SLP we'd be playing each other every couple of weeks.

I know what you mean but it will be probably my only true gamble of the year. It's only a fiver and it exercises my brain a little and last about 8 months why not?
