Along with Last of the summer wine and antiques roadshow, one of those Sunday evening blues inducing theme tunes and programmes that as kid meant bath and bed before school.

Along with Last of the summer wine and antiques roadshow, one of those Sunday evening blues inducing theme tunes and programmes that as kid meant bath and bed before school. "Sing something Simple" on the radio after the top twenty show then "Dr Finlays Casebook" or maybe "Onedin Line" heralded the weekly bullshit about having done my homework, then bath and bed; ready for school Monday. I wonder if Sundays are the same for kids today?

I love a hymn. I'm struggling to remember the game, but when a really chilled and [male} voice choir version of 'Swing Low' struck up at the Brit it was awesome. I don't watch 'Songs of Praise' enough. Love the enthusiasm. I'm a big fan of 'Lord of the Dance' and that 'Lord of all hopefulness' number. As a fledgling I remember sunday as the only day to eat salad. I like owt from Faure's 'Requiem' to/and this.....

The first chorus at the beginning of Sing something Simple did it for me every time. My heart used to drop as soon as I heard that.
