ive got a brevile smoothly maker and as long as you keep it green with spinach and celery it's easy to make them taste nice with fruit etc I've started putting a dollop of coconut oil in mine as I've been told it's very good for you If you like cooking curries. coconut oil is great to use instead of normal oils or ghee.....excellent results and flavour . is alberto balsam vO5 ok?

Thats asking for the shits. Supermarket sold fish does not have to meet the same standards as sushi/sashimi fish. Very true , you need a good fishmonger It needs to be blast frozen to kill parasites. Fish sold intending to be cooked is usually not.

Sorry to spoil your fun but there are no such things as "super foods" and that's a fact :-) Rubbish man ....I've been diagnosed with a low pollen count for years as a result of being married to our Ilda , but since I discovered unbleached tripe I no longer have to rely on a belt to keep my trousers up. !

Load in those anti-oxidants to mop up those free radical body baddies. Blues and purples. I'm given to believe that tomatoes get more beneficial, the more they are 'processed'. Tinned Toms. Some of the owd Herbal remedies have merit. Garlic, rosemary, bay etc. And a slice or two of lemon could have avoided much misery. Big fan of local honey. That is super.

Has a 'Ling run' got owt to do with fish smuggling? or perhaps a jog through a certain species of heather? Omega 3 etc supposed to be good. I enjoyed Cod Liver Oil capsules as a kid. Popped 'em with a canine tooth.

Ha ha, a bit of a coincidence as we had fish as part of lunch yesterday, it looked a bit starnge and we asked our Italian host what sort of fish it was, he said 'jellyfish, although my english isn't very good' .... pasta again then for me

There is up to 5% more lycopene present in Tomato purée than in a fresh tomato .....tomato based pasta sauces are said to be one of the better scources of it .

Tastes like bacon, when fried? I bet it tastes great when fried in lard. Even better, fry it in bacon dip! It's just a shame that bacon does not seem to produce bacon dip like it used to, cheese and bacon oatcakes with a bacon dip used to be a real superfood.

Okay .....I'll let you all into a closely guarded secret . Buy the 'cooking bacon' or bacon mishapes that all the major supermarkets sell for buttons . You can buy a whole kilo for £3 and is proper thick stuff with the odd bit of fat . It's fantastic stuff.....I don't buy anything else and haven't done for years ....Dead good . Not watery juice either . Some it is thicker than the gammon they sell and is dirt cheap . You won't buy sliced up bacon again .

Funny that you should mention that stuff, I bought a pack last week, to put in some carbonara I was making, instead of buying over priced pancetta. It was great value and due to the price differential, tasted even better...
