I noticed that Skapetis has recovered. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him I don't think he had many games for us before injury last year?

He played a few, he came on vs the Vale mid week and looked sharp and he forced the error and then converted the one on one chance that it created for the goal.

Only 2 on the bench for the 18's today, which is odd.
I know we had a load on trial at the start of the season as the squad was always a tad small and that some of them were doing alright but nothing ever seemed to come of it.

Do the club provide live video of the matches for the development squad, u18 and above? I'd like to watch the matches, but don't live in the area.

Who was it that played the ball into Joselu for the first goal? Moha? Was a great finish by Joselu.

Strange (from the pov he's not a left back but he did do well vs Vale) that Lewis Banks is at left back again with Moseley on the bench.
Shawcross starts too.

I guess it depends on what happens with Telford and Skapetis. If they don't go out on loan and stay fit then it might be tough. I know he's not a winger but I'd play him in the front 3 instead of Coban.

He'll start every game in the U18's. He has Telford and Skapetis ahead of him in the U21's, and Waring. Makes sense to keep him there until one or two of the above are loaned out.

Excellent that we beat them, we couldn't last year so that's an improvement.
But we should imo be beating men's teams in the 9th tier of English football.
Just hope they take confidence from this and the results pick up in the U-21 league and they can go on to win the Staffs Senior Cup.
Also got to hope the few that are young enough to play in the FA Youth Cup take these experiences into that.
Verlinden is only 16 and for me against the Vale, against a 22 year old left back who was scholared at Chelsea was our best player on the pitch. So there's hope.
