Upon reading the thread title, an instantaneous thought popped into my head. The big news must be that Nello is pregnant, accompanied by a picture of a broody looking neil grinning and holding his tummy with both hands. The thought must have lasted for less than a second before being extinguished by logic and reason but nonetheless, at least a small part of my brain is fucking insane.

yet more shameless promotion from this PR hungry money-machine I have spent much of the evening reading the page proofs and looking at possible pictures for the book of Neil's life, by Neil and myself, which will be out in August.

Have you got a title and a cover illustration for it Malcolm? Despite what some people say you CAN judge a book by its cover

I used to attend St Mark's, both church and Sunday School. I was runner-up in the children's fancy dress competition at the 1958 Summer Fayre, the winner came as a ration book. The vicar at the time was never thought well of in Victoria Street, my street, after he referred to it as the "slum area of Basford". His successor, Rev D.G. Aston, left under a cloud. St Mark's - bad news, Nello. Just saying.

Have you got a title and a cover illustration for it Malcolm? Despite what some people say you CAN judge a book by its cover Those things are sorted by the publisher and their marketing people, Godfrey. I think it is likely to be called simply "Marvellous" with a strap line of "Neil Baldwin - my story". The book is written as a dialogue between Neil and myself. I have seen the cover photo they are planning to use, which is vibrant and positive. You are of course in it, Godfrey

I'd love to. Events with Neil are never boring But apart from the fact that I don't live locally, I do have to finish all this work on the book before I meet the publisher on Monday, so I doubt I'll have time, but I do hope that you have good weather and that it goes well.

According to a poster in their window, Neil is also performing the honours at the opening of a new greasy spoon on London Road tomorrow (was a hairdressers then a florists with a big UKIP banner outside) so he's going to be a busy chap. No doubt a couple of full English breakfasts will help keep his strength up though.

Soft opening there yesterday with Nello cutting the ribbon tomorrow. Popped in yesterday and it was rammed. Belting bacon buttie and they're promoting a new local chilli sauce company aswell. Both ventures are led by big Stoke fans. It need to fit this into my pre-match routine.

Only a matter of time before someone takes this to Shaftesbury Avenue before moving on to Broadway, Paris and the Bolshoi before the translation to opera sees Fenton Choir on a world tour including Sydney, Vienna and the Metropolitan. The real money however, will be garnered by Marvel/Disney when stage 5 of the MCU incorporates SuperNello in the battle of the Universes as he defeats Galactus, whilst singing Enjoy Yourself ...more mushrooms anyone?

Just polished off a breakfast at MiJo's and it was excellent. Nothing remotely greasy spoony about it so apologies for my sloppy language earlier.
