The winning score was 38 by Steve Holcroft who won the Oatcake trophy. The course definitely won today with the ball running and the lightning fast greens. In the past it has been won with around 42 polnts. Nigel Johnson and John Rudge where very good speakers and we had a TPGC member who did a comedy turn. It was a good mix of Oatcakers and club members. One of the best Oatcake day we have done. I am very pleased with it.
when I have worked out the charity donation I will post it on here.
THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED

Must admit it is one of the best courses in Staffs. The greens were in superb condition when i played there over a month ago. A course that punishes wayward drives also. Gutted i couldnt make it.

I'm also gutted I didn't make it, think I've been either working or away for each one of them so far. I've only played twice in the last ten years mind so I've probably been saved from totally embarrassing myself.
