I thought he did a nice job for them. The guy may be kind of a tool, but this surprises me.

I always feel (when listening to him) there's a mental defect in Nigel Pearson you just cant put your finger on

Was a bit of a tool though so not surprised. Probably something to do with his sons antics.

Maybe Hiddink facies a crack in the Prem at a club with stupid money to spend?

You'd have thought their run towards the end of last season would have earned him a crack at next season at the very least.

Is he the first manager of this season to be sacked or the last of last season? As the transfer window opens tomorrow, I'm guessing it's the last sacking of last season - although 2 hours left

Blokes a fucking bell end.
This will have absolutely nothing to do with football, this will be the board getting fed up with the intolerable prick.

Should have been sacked last season for his antics, the bloke is a fucking arsehole of the highest order it appears his son is following in the family tradition.

Met him in the Gudjon era, seemed intense bloke, but decent enough and bothered about he club he was working for...our club. Seemed the same bloke at Leicester. I would rather have someone who lives for the cause rather than someone who is looking for next seasons job. Having said that, the son stuff was toxic...just ask Brendan

Would love to be a fly on the wall in the Pearson Household at Breakfast. Son..." Good morning dad...can I get you some toast or summat..." Dad..."Just shut it.......JUST SHUT IT...." Mum..."Go up stairs lad...I'll talk to your father..."

Shame really, they'd have gone down if it wasn't for him. Wears his heart on his sleeve and only a couple of bad results away from the psychiatric ward.
We need more managers like him imo.

Technically is he the first manager to be sacked this season, or are we still not "This Season". For me the Season starts when the friendlies start and the players are back in training...

By my book the new season has started. Once they clear the boards of last year's league placings, put the league in alphabetical place order and publish the fixtures list, it's time to look ahead.

I can only guess that after his tool of a son's incident, he has been less than apologetic to the board for sacking his son and as they stated it has become an unworkable relationship. If that is the case then I am with the board on this one, he should have gone with cap in hand, apologised for his son's behaviour and shown some dignity - I just dont see him as being that type of person though - which is probably why his son is an arrogant prick also

Bet all the cocky Leicester fans will be shitting themselves now. He is a prick but I think he would have consolidated them into a midtable PL team where as now they will only be looking to stay in the league.

Leicester seemed to believe that they would sweep all before them in the Premier League, so he was to blame when they didn't. Three relegated managers kept their jobs but the manager who engineered a great escape is sacked.
A sad indication of the modern need for instant success rather than progressive hard work.

He's a fucking bully and bullies are wankers He fits both Nail on head, the way he treated that young journalist at his press conference was like Mike Tyson taking on Stephen Hawking it was unacceptable and he has paid the price. His son is also a dick and proves that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Good riddance to both.

Despite his remarkable achievement his departures isn't a total surprise. You can't be so abrasive and expect no consequence. And the situation with his son wouldn't have helped.
