Great news. Be nice for us to win it for the first time with only a short drive to the final.

The Millennium Stadium is a very decent venue, makes a change from Wembley at least...

The Millennium Stadium is a very decent venue, makes a change from Wembley at least... Seems to me like the roof opening is smaller and seems to keep the atmosphere in better.

Yep, good acoustics and the pre-match experience in Cardiff city centre is so much better than that horrible, dirty part of West London. Wembley has had more than its fair share largely forced upon football supporters to recoup the massive debt (eg., FA Cup Semis). As Lakeland says, the timing is perfect...

Will the Bardiff fans be celebrating early, thinking they are in the final?

Although I'm a fan of neither, it would be awesome to see an all Manchester final there. That'd piss the locals off.

Millennium stadium os quality. The only problem is transport. After the game 80% of people need to get back across the Severn, by car or train and the result is chaos. In London everyone goes different ways

Yep but it wouldn't be both clubs fans travelling the length of the M4 would it? For all of Man City's recent success it is a relatively rare site to see someone poncing about in their shirt anywhere other than in the immediate environs of Manchester. Long may it continue too. BM

BM That DailyMail supporter map that was posted a few months ago, I had a scan at the Manchester districts and only a single district in Greater Manchester (Gorton) had a Man City majority over Man United, and even then it was a very small majority. It's kind of strange how rare Man City shirts are amongst glory-hunting inadequates but it's welcome because Man City have always hated Man United completely oblivious to the irony that they wish they were Man United. edit: don't like your own posts Mick it's rather cuntish!

Another vote from me for the Millenium stadium and definitely an all round better location. As regards the traffic issue, I went to a rugby league final there, with absolutely everyone heading home in the same direction and don't recall it being horrendeous traffic wise.

Nice stadium, I prefer it to Wembley to be honest. Wembley looks crap when watching on the TV (awful low camera angle makes it look like any other ground) and it hosted the final in 2011 and 2013. The main reason it looks so crap on telly is that no matter how big the game, it always looks half-empty because of the idiotic decision to put that huge block of posh/complimentary seats behind the dugouts, right opposite the camera. If the hob-nobs who get showered with those tickets deign to attend at all they mustn't occupy the actual seats for more than about 25 minutes each half.
