Maybe so , maybe all those attacks across Europe are carried out by Muslim charlatans or impersonators ....Maybe those extremists flags they leave behind are a cunning plot to make us believe that they are Muslims , but in reality they may be just bored disaffected evil young men . Evil Cowards . The last part of your post is what I think it comes down to mumf, I think alienation, disaffection, the feeling of 'power' and a sense of self-importance that they would otherwise struggle to find in normal everyday lives are factors in them joining IS. I disagree with Islam just as I disagree with any religion, but it seems pretty clear to me that the teachings of the Qur'an are largely interpreted by Muslims to guide them to lead peaceful lives and we can tell this because it's only a minority of Muslims that take the stance that IS and other similar groups have. The stories we've heard from Tunisia and in particular Muslim hotel staff forming a human shield to protect Westerners somewhat validate my view. I also think the last part of the post from Mumf (the ************** slayer) is spot on EVIL COWARDS, have you read the Quran look at some of the shit spouted in the later writings if you still think it is about living peacefully with others of different faiths then have a quick scan on you tube the truth about the Quran and how it is interpreted, not my interpretation of course but that of Muslims.

You may have something there Carps, it has already been suggested on this board(for you PP) that the attacks in France earlier were in fact a sham, staged to make it look like the attacks were the work of Islamic terrorists, of course it must have been true these individuals are in fact not Muslim radicals but people hired by some clandestine group of maniacs to in fact turn the rest of civilisation against peace loving Islamists all over the world, fucking hell call for James Bond. Fish man - have you been drinking? Or smoking? Think you need a rest. Or has "he who must not be named" nicked your account.

It amazes me how so-called liberals are so keen to jump into defence of a religion which seeks to crush homosexuality, women's liberty and everything else the left used to believe in.
Maybe they're not liberals, but Muslims in disguise trying to warp our view of Islam? I'm just using the same twisted logic some of the idiots in this thread use.

You've posted two comments now on this thread and on both posts you've completely missed the points that have been made, particuarly by the 'so-called liberals' you mention. I don't think anyone on this thread has defended Islam in general, I'm only going to speak for myself but I've already said on this thread I don't agree with many aspects of Islam and the issues you mention are issues that concern me and that are indefensible. You've clearly got a massive problem with Islam in general and it's clouding your ability to see the bigger picture. To blame an entire religion which has roughly 2 billion followers of which most would like to lead peaceful, normal lives on the terrorist actions of a few (and if you ask any ordinary Muslims they will tell you that the jihadists do not represent their beliefs or views) is a bit silly in my opinion. In my view radical jihadists, particuarly those that carry out awful terrorist attacks, don't represent Islam any more than hooligans 'represent' the Football clubs they are 'fighting' for. Do the views and actions of the Westboro Baptist Church reperesent the beliefs of most Christians? No of course they don't.

If the peaceful Muslims were so much against the IS and the barbaric atrocities they commit why are they not out on the streets protesting against them, there were plenty of people out on the streets protesting against the illegal war in Iraq etc. , on a side note do you come from Brown Edge by any chance.

Wootton Bassett heckling our fallen dead and their families, wonder why they felt that it was justified to behave in such a disgusting disgraceful manner, not slow to condemn British soldiers killed in the line of duty, plenty out condemning our soldiers for their part in what they called illegal wars, but there you go.

Comparing Westboro Baptist Church (8 members) to ISIS (200,000 members) is fucking insane.
And I'm the one being accused of not seeing the 'bigger picture'.

I remember being told that it was footballs problem and football needed to sort it out. Hence ID cards, and some pretty draconian police powers that they still use today. This is the total opposite to what you consider as a problem with a few radicals which has nothing to do with the rest of the worlds muslims, who should be left alone as the problems nowt to do with them. I'd prefer to see British muslims acting a bit more like the muslims of Tunisia, who have given a strong and powerful message that the radicals are nothing to do with them. Thinking this is of course bang out of order.

The only tangible actions I have seen from British Muslims regarding the IS animals are the ones leaving this country to join them, presumably to take up arms against the West which the UK is part of, what happens when they want to return will they be allowed back into our country or deported to the country they chose to immigrate to Syria etc.

This Westboro 'Church' is mainly made up of relatives I believe, and number about 80 people. You can't compare that to an organisation who have widespread support across certain sections of the Islamic world. Support in terms of numbers and weapons. Isis are a powerful movement who have access to hundreds of millions of dollars. That money is donated from many quarters under the banner of Islam. It is interesting to note that Egypt's Al-Ahzar University has condemend Isis as terrorists but not heretics.
