When commenting on Falcao's loan move to Chelsea this morning, speculation was that Loic Remy wouldn't be happy and would seek a move.
At the end of the clip, it cut back to Alan Brazil who made a quick throw away comment, "Remy to Stoke".
Wouldn't he be a majorly good signing, capable as he is of playing right across the front line.

As good as Remy is I can't see us signing him after signing Joselu

Remy would be a stunning signing.
Cant see it happening though. Id be amazed if the club went back in for him after the way in which he burned us last time.

There will be a few top strikers on the move this summer. Remy and Austin to name but two, they are likely to end up at one of our midtable competitors Southampton West Ham maybe Newcastle. We seemingly haven't been interested. Instead we have gone for a cheap option with a very average scoring record. At least whenever one of the top strikers become available we can just chill out as there will be no speculation involving us, I guess that's something to be thankful for.

I suppose Odemwingie is not on to be 'off' if you see what I mean, no action at all would see him on his way out of the door. If Walters is prevaricating over a new contract he could easily be told 'fine, look elsewhere' so I suppose it is just possible we could lose 2 of these 3 without trying very hard. I'd love to see Remy join, silky-smooth assassin that he is. Overall I'd say highly unlikely but just possible.

I'm reading the 'offers something different' comments ref Joselu as he is our plan'B'- £5m+ on a plan 'B' would be a strong message to those unsure of our ambition including players like Kono, Remy, N'Zonzi & Bego...

Brazil just making an off the cuff comment, maybe he using the link with Chelsea and bego as some kind of make weight of a Remy loan

A front three of Moses (on the left), Diouf and Remy (on the right), with Bojan in behind them, would be utterly devastating, it's got everything and if I was a defender waiting in the tunnel to come out to face that, I'd be seriously worried. If there was any chance of getting him here, I'd much rather see the package that was being offered to Konoplyanka steered Remy's way and we ended up with a top quality, bona fide right sided forward instead.

So would I but that, in part, is because I have absolutely no idea how good Kono is or could be. Remy would really whet the appetite though, particularly when you thrown Bojan into the mix as you say.

You'd think if we signed Remy, 2 of Walters, Crouch and Odemwingie would be off.? I think that if we want to continue to progress and show ambition as a club then these sort of things have to happen. Plus Walters is getting older and there seems to be a delay/problem in a new deal, and Odem is 34 (?) and just fully recovered (?) from a serious injury.

Remy to Stoke on loan? If so, I must have missed that. He would be a majorly good signing for us and one that would have me more excited than any other link that has emerged this summer.

The way Brazil said it surprised me a little. It was a passing comment but didn't come across as a sly dig. It came across as genuine, which is a good sign for how we're perceived.

Yeah a couple of sites reported it www.stoke.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=402261Paying his wages in full is supposed to have us in pole position.

Yep, as Spence keeps getting rightly excited about; a front four with him, Bojan, Moses and Diouf/Joselu will be very interesting indeed!
