Bamford seems to be a strange name to throw about for a loan. Where would he fit here with Joselu, Diouf and Crouch? Can he do a job wide? He played out wide and in behind for Middlesbrough. All across the behind 3.

I honestly can't see Chelsea signing Bego. United will sign him,as they'll be in more need of a replacement when De Gea fucks off to Real. I'm almost expecting a bit of a bidding war between the two, with the winning bid hitting £11+

Biggest weakness - Kicking and Distribution. At least the Express reporter has at least watched him then.

I thought it was reported Moses didn't want to come back permanently.. am I wrong in saying this? I thought so too and this was before Chelsea had bid for Bego. Why don't the posters on here treat him as they seem to do every other player who doesn't sign immediately - fcuk him off; if he doesn't want us, we don't want him; etc etc - or do we have double standards for some?

Al-Habsi, 33, left Wigan Athletic at the end of the 2014-15 season.

Just need Man City to get involved now to really bump that price up

Probably a typo and closer to 6 million to be honest. Not sure how his quoted price can double all of a sudden and I can't see Chelsea or Manu paying that.

Are we assuming that Begovic's name is only on the Singapore list for appearances' sake at this stage and he won't actually end up travelling?

Bego and the other internationals travel this weekend rather than today so there's still plenty of time to get the transfer sorted. Plus, we've named 4 goalkeepers in the squad which is very unusual.

Think they missed the word "rated" in the headline So Marc, you expecting this deal to be concluded today? Who knows Chelsea are offering £8mill and a loan player, so are Manu. Could drag on but at least Stoke already have a player in Jack to replace him so it's not like we have to go out a do it own activity once the deal is finalised

What's in it for us to rush him out the door? Shouldn't we be driving the timescale?
He's going, we know that and that he can be a stroppy article, but isn't it better for us to stretch it out, get as many clubs in the bidding as possible before 31st Aug?

Asmir's word isn't something to be relied on Neither is Danielo Levy's Spurs had told Bego he would be the number 1 keeper when he got there he bumped into another keeper (whose name escapes me) who had also been told that he (the other keeper) would be number one. Neither signed for Spurs. Can't blame Bego for that one.

Percy has upped the Bego fee to £9m? PercyStoke are also expected to sell Asmir Begovic to Chelsea this month with talks ongoing over a potential £9 million deal.
Chelsea are to send a player out on loan to Stoke as part of the deal but it remains unclear at this stage who Jose Mourinho will release.

We're breaking our records in terms of highest outgoing transfer fees and most in a single window. 16m + 3m (Huth) = 19m so far.

I actually thought they'd both be off and thought £8m apiece was about par. It's all about the N'Zonzi replacement now. Absolutely critical. He's been the heartbeat of the side
