That looks awesome. I've heard people with the PS4 version may be able to somehow import images for the kits, badges etc. Can't wait play master league.

No licensing for the Premier League so yet again I won't buy it

No licensing for the Premier League so yet again I won't buy it You can download a kit patch for PES which gives you all the official kits. "•PS4 Image Importing – Edit mode is synonymous with the PES series, and further updates have been made to this hugely popular mode. PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 users are now able to import images into the game, thus perfectly replicating any team kit or emblem the user wishes - including managers."

Fair enough they are bob on! Still FIFA has the Brittania scanned in totally and most the player's faces scanned in too so that'll turn it for me. PES looks good and the gameplay was a bit better then FIFA's last year

PES looks good and the gameplay was a bit better then FIFA's last year I just find FIFA unplayable though. The positioning and awareness of your team mates is a joke, the fact that you have to keep tapping L1 to get one of them to move into space shows how bad it is. Dribbling is too responsive to feel realistic, even when sprinting it's far too easy for players to turn on a dime, unlike PES... Coupled in with the shit defending matches feel more like basketball games, there's no midfield or build up play. Then there's the presentation, all the licences go to waste when the players walk onto the like a cross between robots and someone suffering from piles. Once you kick off the players move more like string puppets than real people like you see in PES. FIFA has started this gen like PES started the last one, two completely awful games. I always used to get ISS/PES on PS1/PS2, then switched to FIFA for PS3. Went back to PES on PS4 last year, it'll take something amazing to make me buy another FIFA.

I will never ever even consider buying PES until they have all 4 English league's officially licensed. I don't care how many patches there are out there. I want to buy a game, not build the sodding thing myself.

Neither for me. Not gonna keep paying for a new game each year for barely recognisable (revolutionary) changes and updated squads.
Should just be able to purchase a less expensive update file.

Licensing is the main issue for most players however option files have been confirmed which is great news PES is certainly making a comeback

Don't we have this thread every year about how PES is actually, finally making its comeback to the top after the previous years false dawn?

What was wrong with PES 2015? It was certainly better than FIFA 15.

The animations try to hide it but it still looks very much like it only has 8 directional movement when you actually see how the player is moving. Neither particularly impresses me because the whole underlying system is flawed with attributes mostly being cosmetic as the AI has no way of actually utilising any attributes which ought to affect movement of AI controlled players. Both suffer from the same fact that pace is the only relevant attribute, the assisting mechanism both games have is in no way gauged by a players ability but arbitrarily imposes mistakes like over or under hitting the ball to compensate for this.

You've put it in to words a lot better than I ever could Santy, but this is the exact reason why I gave up on football games a few years ago. Difficulty levels also ruin football games, because it makes the teams and player stats irrelevant. Both Fifa & PES need a year or two out and completely remake their games from scratch. They could release a downloadable patch at the start of each season whilst they are away to update the current games with transfers, kits etc. They will never do this though, because no matter what shite they churn out year on year they know it will be one of the biggest selling games of the year. What we really need is for a game to come out of nowhere and challenge both FIFA & PES

If game building takes a single download from an option file then you my friend are a genius So are you telling me that with a single click from an options file then i can have all 4 English division clubs licensed? Have a full career with all the divisions where i can take a team up from League 2 to the Prem? Have FA Cup, League Cup, Johnston's Paint Trophy, Europa and Champions league ( admittedly under a different name) games throughout the season? And have all of the Premier League stadiums? Only when PES ticks all these boxes will I ever consider buying it.

Gave the demo a go. As I do every year. FIFA is far from perfect but at least it's fun. It takes so long to actually get a success attack. It's like watching arsenal pass it around in their own half for 5 minutes. So boring. Plus no commentary, Martin Tyler and Alan smith get repetitive but it's not right.
Konami should spend more time in the gameplay than graphics and it might be more fun.
