Do they post the tickets out or do we collect them at the stadium? We've gave our address and paid postage so I assume posting out to us? You get a confirmation email with two attachments, all in German but I assume if anything goes tits up you can just take that and get them there.

Off official site Tickets Now Available To Purchase In Potter's Section STOKE CITY supporters can now purchase tickets for the Colonia Cup in Germany in August where Mark Hughes’ players will complete their programme of pre-season games ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign. The Potters have been invited to take part in the prestigious competition which will be staged at the RheinEnergieSTADION over the weekend of August 1 and 2 and will also feature host club Cologne, Spanish outfit Valencia and Porto of Portugal. City will face Cologne on the Saturday before Valencia go head-to-head with Porto, while Cologne against Valencia will preceed Porto v Stoke on the Sunday. City fans have been allocated a section of the stadium for both days and tickets are available now by clicking on the following link: www.eventimsports.de/ols/coloniacup/en Supporters can then print their tickets at home. Alternatively, should tickets still be available fans will be able to purchase direct from the RheinEnergieSTADION over the weekend of the tournament. Ticket prices are: Cat 1 for both days € 74.90 Cat 2 for both days € 45.80 Day tickets: Cat 1 € 41.90 Cat 2 € 28.40

I don't think we'd all fit into Barney's, but could spill over next door to Connolly's, both just around the corner from where I am staying. I was going to try some local stuff somewhere, any recommendations anyone

I'm assuming the category 2 tickets are just a slightly lesser quality seat rather than a concession price? If so I think I'd much rather buy a category 2 ticket for both days and save 20 odd quid.

All booked up for me the lady, had to splash out for a suite in the Dorint and get the kids palmed off for the weekend for her to agree, but we're all good to go now.
The ticket website above is now working correctly; they had a few technical issues originally with payment and ticket issuing but it’s sorted now.
When you book your tickets you have to set up an account and your tickets are then downloaded and printed from there after you’ve paid, you will need these printouts to get in as they have bar codes on them. When you get to the payment by card screen it is all in German so have your Google translator handy.
Catagory 2 tickets are just further back in the stand, obvious which are which when booking.
Sounds like it’s going to be an excellent trip with plenty of Stokie’s, beer and football.

Been told The Old Corkonian is decent Irish Bar looks a decent site, would be good to have a base as there seems to be a good number travelling.

Of the 3 Irish bars, the jamesons bar is by far the best, however it's out of the way from the main drag! It's a big place though. The corkonian is just a bog standard foreign Irish bar, nothing special and pricier than any other pubs/bars in cologne! It does however hold a great location amongst many other bars around the Heumarkt (a lot of which wouldn't even let us in on a stag do, so I imagine the same stands for foreign football fans ha)

The one place in Cologne and indeed Singapore..so is that two places , that I won't be rushing to is an Irish bar..
I never understand the fascination with plastic, pseudo Irish bars abroad that many English supporters and English tourists in general have and head for as soon as they leave these shores

but would it attract the local hoolies if there's a large group? I was hoping for a good bierkeller www.schmap.com/cologne/nightlife_bierkeller/www.worldtravelguide.net/cologne/nightlife

I'm going to Germany. I want to go to German Bars, drink German beer and eat German food. For me thats what travelling is all about.

Camping? Are you on the dole?? We've paid 20 quid per person per night for a city centre 4* hotel!! There's also really good 2* and hostels for next to nothing! Fuck messing about with a tent and shitting in a field!

No im not 6,im 46 so probably been a few more games than you I wasn't dick measuring but seeing as you are, I've been a season ticket holder since 1970. So I doubt it. I was referring to your comments. They are like those of a six year old.
