Just seen the episode that is aired in England tonight and it's amazing. How many of you Stokies watch it, and how many have read the books?

I watch it but it would take me years to read the books!
Gone a bit quiet on the white walkers, maybe the heard winter is coming so tucked up at home til its a bit warmer.
I quite like Jon Snow, but i think he needs to be killed off. Not sure why, but its time a big character dies. Or Sansa, she pisses me off. Or that cunt who is porking Denaerys, lucky bastard.

You cant kill off Jon Snow, not after what he did has a fast bowler for England. Haven't read the books, not likely to either, not now I know what's going to happen after watching the series.

The Tv has differed slightly from the books. The whole walker battle from last nights episode isn't in the books. But more epic battles? we can't really complain.

This season has felt a little slow compared to the previous ones but episode 8 is awesome and I'm wondering what they're going to do to top that final half because episode 9 has traditionally been the most exciting and impactful episode.

I agree! Episode eight was fantastic and by far the best of a slow season, by Game of Thrones standards at least. As a book reader i was concerned about the first half of the series as the book/s it is principally based on is pretty boring and non-eventful. However if what i expect to happen in the last two episodes it will be incredible and could easily top episode eight.

Read the books and watch the show and just treat them as two separate entities now, it's much more enjoyable that way.
Last night's episode was completely mind-blowing as it showed even if they do manage to unite the Wildlings and the Houses of Westeros ....it ain't gonna be enough at this rate.

Just seen the episode that is aired in England tonight and it's amazing. How many of you Stokies watch it, and how many have read the books? Without being a smug git, I finished the books just before S5. Hardhome is one the best episodes to date, but I'm enjoying the TV series due to the differences from the books.

Are the dead people proper white walkers or like just an army of dead. Because they Ain't white. Or are the white ones pure bloods and the non whites mud bloods The dead people are so called "Wights", they're just reanimated corpses that do the bidding of the White Walkers, hence at the end of the episode when King White Walker lifted his hands and raised all the wildlings that had died as Wights. We've not seen how many White Walkers there are, there were only around 4 at Hardhome which either indicates there aren't very many or that they don't need a lot to slaughter thousands.
