We all know it's hard to understand the logic behind Ryan's failure to persuade Hodgson that he should be given another chance with England, but what does Steven have to do to get an opportunity with the French national team? I can't believe they have that many decent midfielders to choose from that he doesn't even get a look in. Must be some other agenda. Ho, hang on, he plays for Stoke City! That must be it.

To be fair, that may be one of the biggest reasons he'd be tempted to leave (well, that and the extra 10-15k-a-week)
There isn't enough buzz around us to cross the channel.
If I was Hodgson, I'd be trying to get him to switch to us (not that the old fool has probably even heard of him, or would countenance it)

They have a lot of central midfielders who rightly/wrongly (I'd say mainly rightly) are rated higher than him.
In no particular order;
Morgan Schneiderlin Yohan Cabaye Blaise Matuidi Paul Pogba Geoffrey Kandogbia Maxime Gonalons

I'm quite happy, from a selfish Stoke angle, that he goes under the radar. Although, as Fullermagic points out it could also work against us, if he feels we're holding him back. Bottom line is I want whatever keeps him at Stoke for as long as possible.
