You wouldn't imagine so would you!?! It isn't all bad though is it? Drawing 2-2 at a neutral venue with Atletico Madrid's U21 side is pretty good, I'd have thought. Certainly I wouldn't have complained at that result before the game started. Are overseas tournaments only of interest if we win most of our games? I'd have thought the experience of these tournaments could be good for the lads whether we win or lose. And that fact that Shenton scored 3 goals when he was probably one of the youngest players in the tournament is great news. It's not great really As i said up thread, I play with and against guys from both the amateur teams Stoke lost to, and it's worrying if the academy isn't producing players at U21 level that can beat them. The pro teams are always expected to make it to the latter stages.

But then we were the only team to get anything from the Madrid side, it sums our U-21 side up, hell it sums the club up. Against the HKFC side we should have been 3-0 up at half time and then lost, again that sums them up. We miss good nigh easy chances, one goes in and then heads drop.
