The bench time he has had and his small cameo will do him the world of good
Hughes is handling this young lad very well

I saw an interview with Mourinho the other day saying that loans aren't always in the players best interests and that sometimes they just need to stay at the club and train with better quality players. In his opinion parents and agents were so desperate for the kids to make it they were pushing too hard which resulted in many dropping out at an early age. I know Chelsea's record is no better than stokes when it comes to getting kids into the first team but I think he has a point, the coaches have seen thousands of kids come and go, they will (hopefully) know what's best for him.

I think this would work better if there were more competitive games for him to play him. I'm sure people will tell me the old Central League was wank but you'd get the best young talent and ageing pros like Jimmy Case passing their 'wisdom' around the pitch. It would certainly seem to provide more of an education than the sterile piss masquerading as Under 21 football he currently plys his trade in..

There's a gulf in quality between the 21's and Prem First team.

He turns 18 this November, we're in no rush to loan him out and indeed with the current crop of U-18's coming through who have been together a while and seem like an excellent team with a winning habbit (Adidas Cup, the second half of the league this year and this tournament in Germany), I'd like to think we could push to do well in FA Youth Cup and he'd be a part of that.

Will another season with the U18s and on off appearances for the U21s get him any nearer the first team though, Bayern?

He is still so young, so I don't think the rush is there to get him out on loan and then you'd have to find him the right club who will play him and play the way we want him playing in. Maybe getting him out on loan next February if we're out of the FA youth cup and our U-21's are still poor will be the way forward but not now imo. I'd like to think he'd get a chance in the League Cup games too.
