consider factors outside of the control of their managers? For example at critical phases of the season, McClaren at Derby Co., Bruce at Hull lost key players through injury. To lose your key goalscorers such as Martin and Jelavic is bound to impact on results. Smaller clubs don't have the budgets of clubs like Arsenal, Man City et al, to have 25 man squads full of mega stars?

Although Chairman carry out the act of sacking a manager in reality the majority of them are removed by their fans, should fans therefore be more tolerant of outside factors affecting results, of course but they rarely will.

It all depends if managers respect or have contempt for their fans as you should well know.

Yes of course.
A sacking should be based on a lack of confidence in the manager for the future. Past performance can and should play a major role in deciding if a manager is the right man to take the club, but if there are extenuating circumstances which influence past performance (positively or negatively) then these should be considered when assessing if the incumbent is the right man for the future.

There are 42 million reasons Steve Bruce should lose his job. Was going to use the same point myself. Having spent that sort of money, he should have been adequately covered.

The estimated wage bill for Hull for season 2014/15 is £43.3m, which is 18th in the PL and that's where they've finished.

But when you keep a team up, get to a cup final and then spend an enormous amount of money, you're not expected to go backwards, and rightly so - especially when you sacrifice Europe early on.

There is no way Hull should have been relegated with that squad no matter how many injuries they had. Bruce has to take some of the blame for this.

The fixture list doesn't help either
I know you play both teams twice but you'd rather an easier run in the what hull had

The fixture list doesn't help either I know you play both teams twice but you'd rather an easier run in the what hull had Injuries I can accept but I don't buy into the tough run of fixtures, everyone has the same teams to play and it's pot luck as to whether they are in form or not at the time. They may have had a tough end to the season but they will have had plenty of easier runs earlier in the campaign that they didn't make the most of, that is why they were relegated.

If a teams last 3 games are against, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal, you would need to make sure you have enough points before then,if you haven't tough shit.
