You bottled it big time today regardless of what the score was Skirtel should have gone.

Awful referring really not sure how many tackles warranted yellow cards today but it was nowhere near the amount of players he booked. How Squirtel got away with that I'll never know.

He was useless but that fat bastard on the Novus side was even worse. He couldn't keep up with the play.

F*****g staggering. I couldn't believe it. It was a second yellow every day of the week. Embarrassing stuff. God knows how he'd begin to justify it

For as good as Clattenberg is, this bloke was a joke. The Spurs lad got sent off for two milder fouls that what Skrtel did today. Piss poor reffing

I was going start a thread about this myself. One of the most inept referees I've ever seen! Totally fucking clueless

Same as when we were thrashing Arsenal, he panicked when he saw he was overseeing a big club getting a tonking and threw them a lifeline they didn't deserve.
He handed out yellow cards for fun earlier, and then he suddenly became Mr Lenient when it suited his career referee agenda.
The upshot is that despite the scoreline he's well in credit with the big clubs and strengthened his position on the career ladder.

As bad as the decision was I think we should give props to Fonzi for not milking it. The lad was class in his performance and his attitude today.

I couldn't understand how sahko stayed on the pitch. The ball bounced behind him. He turned pretty much grabbed the ball spun with it in his hand and nobody could believe it hadn't been given

At the time the challenge went in, I looked at the ref, and he was headed towards the incident with a look that said "You're for it sunshine." I'm convinced if we'd not played on, they'd have finished with 10 men.

I think he possibly hoped by playing advantage he could wriggle out of sending him off but then when that went skywest he was left looking proper stupid.

Inconsistency in its purest form today. He was awful in alot of decisions and right on Llallana being a cheating scrote.

I think Leilana was so much better when she appeared in the Sun as a page 3 girl. She certainly squealed like one.

Bottled it big time.

Fucked 2 big decisions up.
Clear red and the peno Geoff should have given away.
All in all him and the liner Seddon were awful, that fat cunt missed two of the most blatant handballs ever too from Pieters and Sakho. Makes you wonder what they watch!

The man doesn't have a clue.
He twice gave yellow cards for incidents where one player slipped over and fell into another, when he booked Adam and Pieters.
Shortly after the ridiculous Adam booking, he felt he had to book a Liverpool player for a very minor offence. By that point, he'd made a rod for his own back. The problem was, had he continued to referee the game in that fashion, both teams would have had two or three players sent off, so he eventually gave it up.
Oh, and Lallana and Skrtel should have walked.

It was one of, if not the worst refereeing performance I've seen this season. Skrtl's was the easiest second yellow you could ever give, Lallana should've been booked for acting as though a freight train had crashed into him in the box first half. I also think Lucas should've received a second yellow for a foul on N'zonzi which wasn't even given.

Can't be easy when the big clubs are getting humiliated on "your watch", especially if you want to keep officiating the games of the big clubs. He is living proof that you can give a male chicken a whistle, you can give him some coloured cards, but that male chicken will and will always be a COCK

My first thought at the time was that it was a good thing for us because he then wouldn't have had the nerve to send off Ryan, Charles or Glenn who were all on yellows.
In retrospect, he's a bell end and a bottler.

Worst ref I've seen this season and there's been a plethora of wank refs. Gouranga. He is indeed the shit scraped from the bottom of a very shitty barrel. Set his stall out with the early needless bookings and then completely bottled it. However, its nice to slag a ref off after a win.

Both Skrtl and Adam could have been given second yellows . The Lama was fouled but his over acting fall made Taylor's Mind up. Last season he gave Liverpool the Spanish penalty at the Brit May be that was on his mind.

He didn't give a pen after Geoff fouled Lallana which would've left us at 1-1 or 2-1 and could've led to a very different game! So based on that I'm relatively happy he was getting decisions wrong.
