If you're correct, what's his sexuality got to do with anything? . I was thinking more in terms of his attitude. I was only horsing around.

I've never been able to understand the esteem which this guy is held in, seemingly based on one half-decent season about five years ago.
Limited player, bad injury record, questionable attitude, routinely unfavoured by successive managers... Yet on here his name is mentioned and people fall about with excitement. I really don't get it.

Much rather Trippier as would poss be available for half the price. No he wouldn't, Trippier is under contract, Richards is out of contract so he is a free

Much rather Trippier as would poss be available for half the price. Half of a free transfer? Sorry mate, I misquoted that, I meant half the wages. Richards will want something obscene. Anyway it doesn't matter too much now as Trippier appears to be heading to the Spuds.

Richards will have to take a massive pay cut to find a club who'll want him. I'd have him here on the right wages.

Given the wages / deal he'd want (no matter how deluded), I'd pass, thanks very much Micah.
Aren't we signing this Soares bloke anyway?

Aren't we signing this Soares bloke anyway? how do you know what wages he wants? Maybe he knows he's rich enough already and a steady £30k a week will suit him t get regular football

Would be a decent signing. Still relatively young, can cover at centre-half if needs be and solid as a brick shit-house. However, it looks like Villa are gonna get him now

Hmmm... I thought Hutton was one of their better players the two times we played them this season. It will be interesting to see between him and Richards who is the first choice at rb for most of next season.

www.espnfc.co.uk/aston-villa/story/2487259/aston-villa-near-deal-man-city-right-back-micah-richards?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitterAston Villa closing in on former Man City right-back Micah RichardsMicah Richards spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, but could be headed to Aston Villa. Micah Richards is inching closer to becoming Aston Villa's first signing of the summer, according to reports. The former Manchester City right-back, who spent last season on loan with Serie A club Fiorentina, is a free agent after leaving the Etihad Stadium. It is understood Villa have offered the 26-year-old an opportunity to revive his career in the Premier League. Richards has been linked with a number of clubs, including Sunderland, Liverpool and Newcastle, but Villa look set to win the race for his signature. Richards, a 13-time England international, won two league titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup with City, but last featured for Manuel Pellegrini's side in a home defeat to Wigan in March 2014. Losing FA Cup finalists Villa, now managed by Tim Sherwood, are keen to bolster their defensive options after conceding 57 league goals during the 2014-15 season, a campaign which saw them escape relegation by only three points.

Villa?
Oh well, we don't want players without ambition anyway.
Though I heard he wanted to play CB (on Talksport) and this isn't likely with us.
