Cheapest £550,I reckon away tickets will be dear also.I suppose with a capacity of 11,700 then can justify it but seems abit steep to me.

Half of them live on Sandbanks anyway so they can easily afford it.

The biggest games and such a small stadium, could possibly see £100 ticket prices knowing that against the top 4/5 clubs their fans would pay it as well as its their first trip to Bournemouth in the league.

I hate them for stuff they haven't even done yet, but I bet they'll mark a trip to the Brit as one where they expect to pick up points.
Bastards.

Definitely next season's media darlings. Poor old Watford shouldn't have bothered - nobody has noticed they are promoted.

Because they're a small club it's painted as a fairytale - I thought that too. But look into their finances and they've spent nearly double their turnover on players' wages alone. Kenwyne's on 39k a week there and he hasn't even started a game for them!

I seem to recall that Bournemouth's ground is in Boscombe which is in fact a relatively poor area And yes poor people do live down south (with difficulty) as they do up here I would be surprised if many of the old fans can afford these tickets but the club will of course sell out quite easily Scandalous

They paid Jones for a handfull of weeks to get over the line. I'm not denying that thy haven't had some cash behind them but to paint them as some kind of money bags club who have brought the league is a bit much.
They sold their leading scorer before the start of this season to Norwich.

I don't think anyone's saying it's a Jack Walker situation, but I think people are just a bit sick of being fed a Cinderella rags to riches story by the media when that's not quite the case.
People are quick to criticise clubs like QPR for spending above their means, but Bournemouth can seemingly get away with it because they're a tiny club that have never been in the Premier League before.
According to their figures at the end of last season, they were in 50 million pounds of debt (add to that whatever debts they've run up this season). The club's annual turnover is only 10 million and they've spent 17.5 million on wages this season alone.
They have actually breached the financial fair play rules, but if they break even after the next 3 years they'll get away with it. That means they'll either have to rely on spending as little as possible to try and stay in the Prem, or hope that their owner writes off a large sum of their debts.
I just hope their fans don't have short memories. They've nearly gone under twice in recent history. If this goes tits up it could be three strikes and you're out.

Their total net spend since they started spending in 2010 is 2.5M.
500k a season. Looking at where they've come from and where they've ended up, I'd call that a comparative shoe string myself.

Just on the Kenwyne deal, I think you'll find we spent considerably more for Amoebi for 6 games to get us over the line. He didn't play much either. We were unpopular too for our use of the loan system in the 2 seasons leading up to promotion.

Looking at where they've come from and where they've ended up, I'd call that a comparative shoe string myself. net spend aside they've racked up debts of £15m and £10m in their last two sets of accounts, they have £21m worth of debt and a £25m loan from the owner (or his Petrochemical company not sure which?) - at the end of the day they'll earn big bucks now even if they're only in the Premier League for one season, but it is certainly not true that there hasn't been a massive financial outlay. Bearing in mind the ground hasn't really changed, unless they've invested in a huge training complex or youth academy or something along those lines can only assume all that expenditure is wages??

You would be pissed off if you had spent time raising money keeping the club going all those years ago, only for when times are good to be screwed with a £550 season ticket! Chuffed Manager Eddie Howe: "This club was on its knees six years ago, we had nothing. "A group of supporters put their money in their pockets to keep the club alive and they are reaping the rewards. It is the club I watched as a kid, the club that gave me an opportunity in the game as a player and a manager. "It shouldn't be them thanking me, it should be me thanking them. It is a family club and deserves its moment in the sun. "It is never a journey we expected to go on but through some hard work and some investment we managed to do it. The players have been magnificent and it is an achievement they deserve." www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/cherries-top-how-bournemouth-went-5595462Yeah.....thanks for that everyone....thanks for putting your hand in your pocket to keep the club alive....by the way....have a 20% ticket increase, for less games. I mean we have 11,000 seats. so the extra £100 a ticket = £1,100,000.....we really need this with the £78 million we have coming in this year. Thanks lads...

Quite an affluent part of the country, and with limited seats I don't think it's too bad a price.
For those saying they bought their way up, it's no more than we did. Good luck to them.

I'm predicting another Blackpool scenario. They'll go for it all guns blazing in the first half of the season and pull off a few shocks. Then they'll slowly fade as teams work them out and injuries/fitness will be get the better of them.
