He scores at least a few brilliant goals every season, capable of wonder moments, always one of our top scorers and can pick out a few assists. I don't understand stand why people don't like him, once he has a decent run of games he hits brilliant form like he has done now. He doesn't deserve all the hate he gets on here, he's one of our best players None of our players deserve the hate they get on here. Favourites - yes but hate !!!

Tip, tap, tip, tap, ball sideways or back until it gets to Charlie. Once it gets to Charlie, everyone instinctively looks to move forward because they know that that is where the ball will be moving. A fit Charlie is as valuable a player as we have on our books, especially as he seems to have got control of his tendency to stop the opposition players creating a threat.

I love Charlie to bits, he gives us impetous. Unlike Ireland who alas I think offers nothing at all! what a load of shit. Why? Demonstrate what he offers I see a sulky man who doesnt really put the effort in to match the ability he has, who gives the ball away a lot, and doesnt have the desire of a Charlie Adam To many deft flicks and touches that dont come off and end up losing posession For all Charlies limitations in terms of pace, he ALWAYS wants the ball, and excites me when he gets it (as I think most of our forward line feels the same!), and has a lot about him (never mind a bit) in terms of mentality and want to win If you can show or explain otherwise to me I will bow down to your superior tactical prowess.

Unlike Ireland, Charlie has stepped up to the plate after Bojan's injury. He featured TWICE and won the last MOTD goal of the month - how many Stoke players have done that?

Can't see what Walters (a player who has made 13 more appearances and a player who plays in a totally different position) has to do with it but anyhoo... 4 assists in 20 appearances, Charlie has 1 assist in 33 appearances that sort of flys in the face of your "doesn't contribute anything". You're just doing the old oatcake classic thing of slagging off and undermiming a player because he's in competition with your favourite. I'm not going to bother anymore though as earlier on in this thread you're trying to shoehorn Charlie into the team when Bojan is back. It just proves the age old saying that love is blind.

Charlie is a better player all round!
Scores more goals too!
Anything else is blind devotion which is the same argument you use against me!
Just saying that this season Charlie has contributed (and worked his bag off to get back into the team) far more than Ireland who plays well every now and then, but disappears for weeks
Hughes seems to think the same...

There's no blind devotion at all. I don't care either way as I rate them both and think they both contribute to the team. You said of Ireland that 'he contributes nothing' which I pointed out was shit. But you're not going to listen to facts as he's not Charlie Adam.
