Obviously it's not important and very rarely accurate but was amazed that ths sponsors MOM wasn't Arnie!! Special mentions should also go to Whelan and Ryan.

Tight run thing today tbh, I'd have given it to Arnie too.

I love Arnie, but I thought N'Zonzi sneaked it. Two or three others in the frame as well. Great individual performances today.

Should of been Arnie in my opinion he had a screamer for a left winger but I think Nzonzi's goal and his ungodly 64 touches and 84% passing rating edged it for most.

Do you really just judge football on stats? No, I watch the game. Then look at the stats like a manager does, then speak. Unlike some drunkards on here. I know I'm biased but have the actual facts before commenting. You should try it.

One of those clearances was the worst bit of play Stoke produced at the back.

Arnie was head and shoulders above every single player on the pitch today.

That clearance gave us the best stat of the day for the back four Spurs - 0. Clean sheet.

That clearance gave us the best stat of the day for the back four Spurs - 0. Clean sheet. It was still bad play that a better defender and better footballer would not have done. It also put us back in immediate danger, again that's not something to be celebrating or advocating. To push on we need better than Cameron on the bench (Huth-because there's no way Cameron gets on the bench over Huth and Wilson if they're all fit). And that's not to mention the starting right back berth!

The Zonz for me. I still have to pinch myself that not once have the MOTD team after a match singled out the Zonz with a few choice clips and said 'look at this fella, he is effing good'

I thought Arnie should have been MOM but can see why they went for Fonzy, he was excellent too.

To the OP. Quite simply because the sponsors wanted a photo with Zonz more than they wanted one with Arnie.

Arnie was voted MOM on Twitter tonight from fans' votes.
Steven N'zonzi was brilliant though.
Hard to pick a MOM after such a great team performance.

Nobody can say that any player was head and shoulders above the others or MOM by 'a mile'. Arnie, N'Zonzi and Charlie Adam were all excellent. On another day Whelan, Shawcross or Muniesa would have all staked a claim as well, we were that good!
N'Zonzi for me was just about the right call, but I'd have had no argument at all with Arnie winning it either.

Because he's lazy. Doesn't track back and Walters is still our best defensive winger

Nzonzi for me as well. Controlled the toughest area of the pitch and was the best player on both sides.

Arnie MOM for me, but closely followed by N'Zonzi. That said most of our player did a brilliant job except for Walters who I think was a little disappointing. Should at least have scored one from the chances he got!
