The playing out from the back was insane when Zonz was marked because Adam and Ireland were way up the pitch and Pieters and Cameron were positioned like wingers. I think that's why Crouch came on. Sparky was indicating it might be time to go a bit longer. |

It really bugs me when defenders piss about with the ball, I'm all up for a good passing game from the back but when nothings on and someone running at you just belt the ball! Not worth giving a goal away, plus with Diouf Crouch or Walters up top there's a good chance we'll keep it.

Dont know what went on at the back today....instead of control and pass it was control, bobble, control, dither and then pass.
All 4 looked shaky today I thought. No communication

Our weakness this season has been sloppy defending , an area to work on in the Summer , may be a way back for Huth , seems to be doing well at Leicester

None of them did well. Bego's lack of confidence and communication seems to have spread through the defence. The management really need to get back to basics for the rest of the season and stop encouraging some of the suicidal stuff.

It's spreading throughout the team for me and it's one thing that is pissing me right off and the main reason we won't keep clean sheets. It starts with Bego and then Wolly, then Cameron and it scares the Bejeezus out of me. Even Ryan has started doing it a bit! |

Slaughtering players at the ground from minute one will not get the best out of them. Some of the comments from so called Stoke fans today were an absolute disgrace. Shameful stuff.

I don't think we were ever 'under the cosh' to be fair. They are a dreadful side who we gave several great chances to because of piss poor preparation as a defensive unit and a general sense of panic.
It really was fucking woeful at times.

We are our own worst enemies sometimes.
The 1st 10 minutes was just sideways,backwards and more sideways between the defenders and all it does is encourage the opposiotn to push you back which then leads to panic.
You've then got us still not concentrating from corners,turning our backs on the corner taker and leaving ourselves 2 on 1.
Add Bego to that who still after all these years manages to kick the ball straight into touch....as well as his 1 customary mistake per match.
Then you've got the big German who quite frankly is too much of a tart to be a centre half and Ryan who looks a shadow of his former self.
All in all we were dog shite at the back .A decent team would have hammered us today
We need a new defensive coach

Absolutely correct Sheikhy, they were the worst side (and by some distance) to visit the Brit this season and (almost unbelievably) we conspired to gift them the game with utterly atrocious defending. |

Beggo needs to be "rested" for a week or two, some excellent saves but some awful mistakes, which he certainly wasn't making last season. Butland deserves a chance.
As for Wolfy, he's got to be dropped, what a cock up and then tries to blame the linesman. Clown! Good job Pieters got hold of him or he'd have deservedly gone off. Then bugger me, two minutes later he almost repeats the stupid act. Save your money Stoke, not good enough for us, I'd prefer the Belin Wall, that is Huth, any day of the week, or Muniesia, or even Wilson.
