and see we have not had a Red card in the league this season, then think, I ain't going to let Stoke go a full league season without a Red card?

I thought he was very fair today to be honest. Cattermole and O'shea were kicking everything that first half and were lucky to only see yellow. Second half we got tired and were late to some tackles but overall not bad from him to be honest.

I thought he was very very very generous toward us at times. He's not a good referee.

He had a poor game in all honesty, lacked consistency

How didn't Cattermole (and O Shea for that matter) get sent off?

He had a poor game in all honesty, lacked consistency I agree. If he'd been properly consistent it's likely neither Cattermole nor O'Shea would have stayed on the pitch for the full 90 mins. On the other hand, he seemed to let us get away with a number of "iffy" tackles.

Had a good game today. Cost us a decent break first half by calling back play but allowed some good shoulder to shoulder challenges and got virtually nothing wrong. One of the better refereeing performances this season.

One of the most one sided refereeing performances I've ever seen.
The ironic cheers from Sunderland fans were justified.

The Sunderland fans' reaction to getting the odd free-kick was quite telling. The interesting thing is that it's the first time I can remember seeing it from opposition fans at the Brit all season. Kind of shows how many times the opposition get shafted by a ref at our place. Compare this with the number of times we get worked over by refs at home and away.

Awful against us when we played Newcastle. Awful in our favour when we played Sunderland. Hmmm...

One of the most one sided refereeing performances I've ever seen. The ironic cheers from Sunderland fans were justified. And what were these decisions he didn't give them? A couple of times we clearly muscled them off the ball fairly that they groaned about but can't think of a single one off the top off my head. He was lenient towards them with their time wasting late on but many teams do the same and get away with it.

Anyone who thinks whining and moaning about referees is pointless should take a look at Atkinson's performance today.
He knew full well that Stoke fans and the local media had their eyes on him and his performance reflected that, just as Mike Dean has calmed down since the club complained about him.
The irony of Sunderland's sarcastically applauding him was, well, ironic.

Still think Cattermole was a lucky boy.
Already on a yellow when he took (I think) Charlie out on the edge of the box but Atkinson played the advantage and never went back to review the situation afterwards.

I'm not sure Twatkinson really gets the 'advantage' rule. Wasn't there an incident in the Burnley game where our player was fouled, they got the ball, he allowed play to go on, then when they lost the ball, he brought it back for a free-kick to us.
