Perhaps not immediately - I think Hughes would want to see him in a few U21 games first. But I could see a loan in September before the window closes. Maybe even to Div 1 for 3 months to increase his chances of a few starts and more game time.

Similar deal to that of Butland - sign but immediate loan for the season/until December. Keeps him settled, virtually guaranteed competitive (not U21) game time. Even with all of the shenanigans off the pitch, it'd only show how professional the lad is.
