Bench: New GK, Wolly, Wilson, Sidwell, Walters, Ireland, New Striker
In the squad: Tex, The barca kid, PO, Crouch, Cameron, Bardsley Whelan, Shenton, Waring, Bachhman.
Sold: Cameron, Adam, Ness, Huth, Bego = £14-19m

None of us have any idea. Be honest, 12 months ago, who had heard of Bojan? Now most of the female (& male) oatcake would let him sh^g them Think you are in the minority by a long way by not hearing of Bojan mate, every other man and his dog had heard of Bojan Krkic many moons before he joined Stoke. It's quite unbeleivable that you may not of done

Even though most of us had heard of him, no one in the world would have predicted he would have signed for us, so no body can really guess at what the new signings are going to be, it's not as predictable as it was under the old regime!

This is more of a dream XI than what I actually expect but I don't think its too far-fetched. Selling Bego would be necessary for funds. Also gone would be Adam, Palacios, Bardsley, Huth, Sorro, Wilko.
--------------------------Butland-------------------------- Trippier----Shawcross------Muniesa-------Pieters -----------------N'Zonzi--------Roberto---------------- Arnautovic-------------Bojan-----------------Moses --------------------------Diouf----------------------------
Bench from: New GK, Cameron, Wollscheid, Wilson, Whelan, Ireland, Crouch, SJW, Shenton, Odemwingie + new young striker (is Waring anywhere near good enough/ready to be slowly brought towards the first team?)
I reckon we would be challenging for 6th if that side remained mostly uninjured. Also think Diouf would bag 15+ in the season with those 5 behind him. That central core of Barca boys gives me an erection.
Edit: Forgot about Tex. Think the best for him would be a season loan at a championship club. Maybe league one if we can't find a champ club willing to give him consistent minutes.

Maybe league one if we can't find a champ club willing to give him consistent minutes. This is a great starting line-up and not unrealistic given available funds. It's interesting that almost everyone has Diouf starting ahead of Odenwingie despite the slagging Diouf gets on here and the calls for Odenwingie to replace him for the last few games of the season. Long-term, Diouf is the clear favorite given the age difference (about 6 years) and should get 15+ goals with the right service. I also agree it's time to cash in Bego and make Butland the first team goalie. I seem to recall de Gea was about the same age as Butland when he joined Manure and he had a shaky start. But Fergie stuck with him and he turned out to be first class. Edit: I agree with your edit, Eddy. I have said posted a couple of times that I don't think Tex is in Sparky's plans or we would have seen him by now. Season loan or even sold is definitely in the cards.

I do think the goalkeeping situation will be a bit of a tough one if Bego goes. Butland obviously, and deservedly, will get the number 1 spot. But Sorro is going too. I'm certainly not comfortable having Bachmann or Eve as back up. This means we will have to get ourselves a second keeper, probably an older pro happy to help out the younger lads development. But on the other hand, as the next cab off the rank he has to still be premier league standard, especially considering that there is no guarantee that Butlandwill be able to make a seamless transition to first choice keeper for a whole season. We may end up having to spend a few million on a reserve keeper just for the peace of mind.

Begovic; Tripper Shawcross Huth Pieters; Nzonzi Muniesa; New winger Bojan Arnautovic; Diouf
Minimal spend required. If Beovic is sold put Butland in and buy a new Centre mid to play with Nzonzi

I must admit I'm surprised so many will think Butland will be no1 keeper next season.
