How good a signing would he have been for us in January? He's finding some right form at Everton (as predicted by some on here...). I rate Hughes much higher than Martinez and reckon he could have got more out of him quickly.
Any chance of getting him in the summer or is it a done deal?

Just on the Everton game, why doesn't Baines take pens anymore?
Doesn't he have a near impeccable record?

Decent player who would give us another option and improve us (with current injuries anyway), but I'd rather see us put the kind of money he'd cost (£5-7m?) towards younger players..

On his day he is a good player, his day tends not to come around muc. He does tend to run into blind alleys a lot though. I wasn't fussed either way on him when we were after him

Given where we've ended up with injuries not getting him in Jan was a loss

Said at the time huge miss out for us , big signal to that level of player won't do any favours wirh Moses said at the time somet be surprised to see Everton front. 3 of Lennon lukaku and Moses next year at which point is like to see Hughsie volley our commercial team into oblivion

Think hes basically saying Lennon rejecting us means no one else will want to come to us Moses will jump ship go to Everton where they'll win the league through Moses Lukaku Lennon and Hughes will pretend to be Arnie and ram his fist into Scholes stomach and break his god-damn spine due to his failure to spend 2 billion on the squad. Moses is a far better player and in no way is he a headless chicken as Lennon is, Moses uses trickery and pace Lennon is just pace.

If finding a bit of format some point of the season opens the door to a stonking wage at Stoke then the door is open to most players. I'd much prefer this Traore from Barca b without any doubt. Lennon has been halfdecent for 2 games as far as I'm aware

I wasn't fussed either way on him when we were after him Aaron Lennon will never improve on what he is imo and I agree with what you say. I've never rated him he often doesn't look up when it matters and this will never change

He is doing well for Everton and written off by lots on here far to much. He was a constant in the side which got Spurs into the top4 and when he didnt play they struggled. Would certainly be an upgrade for us. I am not bothered whether I like him as a person as long as he performs for Stoke that is good enough for me.

Lennon would have been an absolutely class signing, not cup tied either so he would have been perfect. Still, the oracles on here know better.
