With their teams respective performances.
Hughes saying we kept a good side down to precious few chances and closed the game out with aplomb.
Koeman too was pleased with his team too blaming bad luck and the wind (he loves to go on about the wind at the Brit) for Stoke's 2nd goal.
So do they just make this shit up or was the game not as bad as some are suggesting?
Must admit I came away thrilled, thinking 'Have that you fat bastard Koeman' and you puffed up Saints fans, its for beating g is twice before this season!

Koemen was on about long balls and physical play. The odd thing is they played more long balls than we did, both teams committed 17 fouls but they got four yellow cards.
Clearly he didn't do his research properly.
We had a ball cleared off the line but missed two sitters. A score of 4-2 would have been a reasonable reflection of the game.
If Koeman watches MOTD tonight he will discover that we won regardless of how the BBC edit it.

Koeman was on about their missed chances, can't say I remember them, if anybody we had many more.

Southampton were pretty poor, I thought. They looked miles away from a team that has spent a large part of the season in the top four. They've got a very solid defence, but I can remember them making two chances in 90 minutes; they scored from one, and the other was when Whelan kicked the ball off the line. I think that reflects well on our defensive performance.

Manager in not being completely honest in his post match thoughts shocker Yep but more like "manager not being remotely honest in his post match thoughts shocker" or simply deluded. Remember when Hughes tried justifying Wes Brown's red card against us last season? Or TP saying that starting with four strikers when we were in the Champ was the most attacking he could be? Managers defend themselves and the team, Koeman has done a great job

Manager in not being completely honest in his post match thoughts shocker He was banging on about that before the game as well, saying we're all about the height and physicality, clearly hasn't watched us much this season. Fuck him and fuck the Southampton fans who were moaning about losing to little Stoke today, they were lucky to win at their place earlier in the season and they deserved nothing today.

I went to St.Marys and we were shocking. I also got refused entry from a nightclub purely because my ID card said Stoke-on-Trent which I found disgraceful so I've got plenty of reason to dislike them. Koeman has done a fantastic job down there for me.

He has been watching too much MOD and not performing his due diligence of scouting the oppo. More analysis Ronny, quit being lazy and seeing what you want to see, vice what's taking place on the pitch.

So you agree with his analysis of our play today? SOTON has been brilliant this season and Big Ron has done a superb job, in fact my candidate for MOS. boult how he described our performance today was lacking in class and sounded like he got his sound bites from Trevor Francis.

No I don't but I'm just saying all managers say things to try and take the blame off their players. Like I said above even Hughes and Pulis have done it.

To be fair, his lazy views on us today probably did hinder them. They changed their set up to include bigger players to deal with set pieces, which we seem to have been totally garbage at for two seasons. Oh well. I don't have a great deal against him or them. Dutch managers do seem to be a bit funny in general anyway.
