Looked much more like his old self today I thought
solid - reliable - good positions taken throughout the game
passing still a bit off but, lovely to see

It's funny how folk see things different. A few people have said Ryan played well but I thought he was bang average. Him and wolly just don't look right together

Thought Ryan was poor today.
Very very indecisive and shaky at times.

Poor today. Clearly feeling his back still , his heading is suffering big style.

Not for me mate thought he had a poor game today and his partnership with Wolly frightens me to death. Agreed. Far too many risks being taken in dangerous areas of the pitch.

err fucking useless ? both centre halves had their hands very full with Italy's international bustling centre forward
both did well to keep him in check and yes -I thought Ryan Played his part in that
much more like his old self I honestly thought
poor to fucking useless he was definitely NOT I would contend
and YEP - the entire back four went Awol for ten minutes second half today - but you dont pin the entire period on just one player
which is seemingly happening here

He made one very un Ryan like clearance,or rather he failed to make the clearance which went straight to one of their players in a dangerous position. No,he's not back to his best by any means. Judging by the majority of his posts ukyestoney watches different games to the rest of us lol

I wouldn't say he was very poor today. Though he did miss hit a few open headers, one that should've at least tested the keeper if not been a goal.

Average at best today, but how Nervous Norman was man of the match is beyond me.
Not convinced by their partnership, but if we continue winning who am I to complain.

Wolly currently looking the better player...he seems to have become the more commanding player, always sweeping up and taking control (more captain like) while Ryan seems to be just plodding along. They havent seemed to gel that well yet either, maybe they are too similar?

Looked much more like his old self today I thought solid - reliable - good positions taken throughout the game passing still a bit off but, lovely to see I'm sorry mate but this is just rubbish. Ryan was poor at both ends of the pitch. For me it is a combination of him not being fit and his partnership with Wooly which does not work. I just can't see the point of signing Woolscheid.

Poor today. Clearly feeling his back still , his heading is suffering big style. I interpreted the post as a reference to Ryans back injury. He had a tough task against some very able Southampton forwards, 6 /10 from me Apart from one big error I thought that Wollscheid had a very good game - didn't panic at the back and always looking to pass the ball forward
