Listening to the radio on the way home from the game... the corners being filled in was a topic yet again.
Why don't we do something completely left-field and build another Tier for 3 to 4 thousand on top of the Boothen End.
This is where most ticket seekers want to sit (atmosphere and ticket prices), it can be done by just bolting a stand over the car park whilst keeping car parking, food stalls etc, and means our end is potentially noisier than now.. as well as keeping the hostile weather scenario that ll visitors hate
Just an idea..

Completely different is to remove the corner between Boothen & Seddon
That gets my vote

Being in hypothermic shock on the South Stand whilst fans 50 feet away are applying sun tan cream illustrates the goddamn awful conditions in the ground.
I still haven't recovered. Got home and missus Slicko wanted a bloody bbq.

I'd love to see a rotating stadium. This would solve precipitation issues, sunshine issues and the away fans being next to the tunnel

Anything other than filling the scoreboard corner at this stage would just look ridiculous and leave us with an even more deformed stadium.

Good idea bean, as long as when it rotates, I'm at the end where our goals are scored!

Anything other than filling the scoreboard corner at this stage would just look ridiculous and leave us with an even more deformed stadium. Filling in the score board corner would make it look a lot less shit, as you can tell from the picture. Put up some kind of wind breaker in the two remaining open corners with perhaps an electronic score board mounting into both would really help as well. A bit of creativity (akin to the Sir Stan picture) around the outside of the ground to make it look a bit less shit would be fairly easy with a bit of creativity, however creativity and Stoke City don't belong in the same sentence, unfortunately.

Good idea bean, as long as when it rotates, I'm at the end where our goals are scored! When Adam gets the ball just before the centre circle the rotation could shit super quickly just in case he punts one. Players could have buttons to press when they think they are going to pull the trigger. A genius idea I think

Use the land at the old Victoria Ground to build a proper stadium with sensible access, parking and close proximity to public transport including rail.
Original cost in 1997 was £15m which inflated is now £21m well within the ability of the club to pay.
Naah far too sensible

Same as we did in the old days - parked about a mile away and walked. Or just walk the whole way. I walked from Clayton and back - never thought anything about it.

The people who had input into the plan should be ashamed of what has been produced. We have one of the worst grounds in the PL and THE worst new build grounds.

Naah far too sensible Sensible? much better than the stupidity of building the existing ground without public transport links, which in turn makes inadequate onsite parking and nightmare logistics for getting to and from the place, Originally expected to use the Michelin car park but local authority didn't bother to seek permission. There was a reason that no one built there it was called flooding. I lived in Trent Vale for years and we often used it as a short cut to Blurton. The old ground had bus and rail links very handy so didn't need the same amount of car parking. Took years to build the bridge across the A50 but still a complete nightmare for traffic. St Modwen andStoke on Trent Council hand in glove, also expected it to be jointly used by Port Vale! Supposed to have a community use beyond football but never really happened. The land vacated is still available

The Brit is an unfinished thrown together shit hole. It is built in the most inaccesible place in The City, its only redeeming feature is that its brilliant if you want to buy a car on the way to the game.
I dont want to go all ukyestoney but in the present financial climate there is no excuse not fill the scoreboard corner in, at least that would create some symmetry. We really have one of the worst grounds in the league.

I really like the Brit, having never known the Vic my best footballing memories (bar the semi against Bolton ofc) have all been here. The stadium is fine in all ways except one, the fact that games are affected by the wind and even though that usually goes in our favour it's still really a bit rubbish and detracts from the quality of games nowadays. Fill in the corners are we will be set up!.
I think the issue stems from a few on here who just still haven't let the vic go, and possibly never will. It's leading people to be very over-dramatic about quite how bad the Brit is.

The Brit isn't it, it may be when it's finished but it will always be in the wrong place.

Why not add a tier to one of the existing stands. It would increase capacity and not affect the dynamics of the ground if that's what the chairman is worried about.

I'm all for wet and windy games on the top of a hill - that's plenty to upset the away players - but the ridiculous levels of wind that the current build creates whiffs more of Sunday league than it does an advantage.

Didn't suggest we would get that many but we could get more than we do if there was somewhere for them to go. The stadium would be ok if it was finished but it will always be in the wrong place for access.
