Cannot fathom how we were supposedly lucky? we scored two decent enough goals missed two sitters Nzonzi first half Crouch second Southampton did ......well fuck all apart from the one effort they scored from. Clyne could and maybe should have seen red on another day so just how were we lucky?

Very strange day. Carried some passengers today notably Bego, Cameron, Ryan, Wollschied, Whelan, N'Zonzi (2nd half) and Jon. Other than that they all did well! Also disagreed with some of the decisions Hughes made today BUT they didn't do much either and were lucky to be winning. I think our endeavour just about deserved the win but there was a spell during the second where we started playing at walking pace. Cameron and N'Zonzi were absolutely woeful during this phase. Ryan had one of his worst games I've ever seen him have and Wolly and Bego kept taking stupid risks. That said we kept going despite taking one of our best performers off (Diouf) and not for the first time Charlie changed the game. As for our opposition they fouled, dived, time wasted and moaned their way through the game, of and twatted it to Pelle on numerous occasions. I see Koeman has been talking bollocks after the match about our physicality and long balls. Daft bastard.

I thought we controlled the game start to finish and actually played quite well.
N'Zonzi was class and controlled the midfield.
Whelan in the first half was absolute toss but then in the second half was excellent.
We didn't create as many chances as we should and we missed 2 sitters. But the amount of through balls we didn't play to Diouf was a travesty.
Really enjoyed the game today actually whilst those around me were going apeshit at N'Zonzi and Arnie, who I thought both played well.

Disagree. They did absolutely sod all.
We controlled midfield, we had the better chances and the centre halves pretty much strolled through the game.

To put it into prespective they are a very good side and have the best defence in the league. Regardless of Southampton, we didn't play well. We didn't knock it about with confidence or intent. We were pretty poor throughout. Mark of a good team that plays poorly and still finds a way to win. Soton did their best to frustrate us but we kept coming and it paid off.

I've seen a few people today on here and Facebook etc say we were shit. But we actually weren't. At times we were sloppy but on the whole we actually dominated a very decent side. Again let's put it into perspective considering our injuries and what were asking of players to keep playing when not 100% fit and its a bloody great result and performance. Well done stoke

We didn't control the midfield at all, Schniederlin did early and Nzonzi did a little later. We controlled the ball on the flanks more today than in the midfield. Arnie, Pieters, Walters, Cameron on the wing had more possession than the central midfielders in both halves.

Not at our best and a very dodgy 10 minutes somewhere in the second half but, definitely NOT a shit display
and beating such a good team without us being at our very best, is a very nice feeling indeed !

He was better defending than Ryan today...

Only really deserved a draw today but we were due a bit of luck after that Palarse defeat.
Defended okay on the whole, created the best chances of the game but there were large spells in the second half when they were absolutely bossing midfield and we looked completely shagged.

All the rest were shite irrespective of stats. But we won so I'm chuffed as fook!

Was a game of two halves, we were shocking the first and other than that 5 minute period where we couldn't pass the bloody ball about we were decent in the second.
Makes up for the 2 extra points we deserved last week.

Isn't that a sad thing when the best tackler of today's game for Stoke never gets a mention on here... in a positive sense for being a decent fullback and arguably our best. Am I out of line?
