Hugely biased commentating on the stream I watched. Talked constantly about Southampton's missed opportunity, result against the run of play, Southampton were "the better side", and Koelman won't be able to understand how they lost. The facts are Stoke had 50% possession, and more shots (15 v 11 - granted Saints had 4 on target to Stoke's 2).
Diouf scored an excellent poachers goal; he's repeatedly getting in the right position to score these days which is a brilliant instinct for a striker to develop. No yellow cards today for Stoke as well.
Can someone at the club give N'Zonzi shooting lessons?

Could easily have been 4-1 had Nzonzi and Crouch scored their easy chances.
Southampton can't have any complaints and they seemed to get the most yellow cards. Referee had a decent game..
5 more points needed.

Its almost like the media (and even out fans) sometimes fail to calibrate a Stoke City performance realisitically
What can be stated as fact about our win against Southamptom are the following:
1) Stoke City won
2) Southampton are a very good side this season
3) Stoke City won without being at their best
4) At Times Southampton dominated the game
5) Stoke city had a very poor 10 - 15 minute spell somewhere in the second half that Southampton definitely did not create nor, take advantage of
6) And Stoke City had two or three really good easy chances they failed to take during the game
7) And created more clear goalscoring opportunities overall than Southhampton

Plus: They came prepared for physical game and got 4 booked to Stoke's none.

FYI: www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Martin-Smith-Just-thing-stands-Stoke-City-new/story-26367765-detail/story.html?I am really cheesed of this week by the endless banter and "guilt consciences" about Stoke's (lucky) win on Saturday. Stoke had as much possession as Saints, had more shots, and more clear cut chances to score. OK the passing was poor, the shooting was poor, and a couple of clear cut chances were missed, but we got 2 goals. Saints looked good with their movement and passing but it came to very little, they hardly threatened Bego all game, despite the fact he was not in top form, their tackling was clumsy and lead to bookings, and they only scored once. So Stoke won and deserved to. Why all this talk about us being lucky, only deserving a draw, Saints deserved to win? There were at least 4 matches earlier in the season when we dominated and should have won, but got nothing; that's football.
