Why would we want to raid the relegated teams for players? Surely the defenders weren't up to it, the strikers didn't score enough either and the playmakers didn't! Having said that, I'd have Huth back in a heartbeat... Shawx isn't the same, IMHO, without Huth by his side. The team weren't up to it - the individual players may have been. Mahrez, Benteke, Delph, Austin, Fer, Ings and maybe Trippier is all i can think of
The rest mentioned Phillips, Knockaert, Okore, Vargas are all a bit shit

You dismiss Philips who has 4 assists and 2 goals in the last 6 matches as 'a bit shit' but then there are some on these board who revere arnautovich (who has 0 goals and 2 assists in the entire season so far) like he was some footballing God !!!! |

Trippier would be my number one.
And Austin but I think he may be tempted by a similar club with a slightly higher profile eg. Soton, Everton, Newcastle.

Does the Jack Rodwell bit make anybody? I like him, he's been pretty shit for Sunderland but was very good before that. Injuries have to be the main concern. He was a spectator at Man City before that happy to thieve a wage. Being over-rated has to be the main concern. |

The likes of Ings and Benteke will be destined for higher places. Realistically Trippier and Austin would be great signings add Moses and another quality winger and we will be cooking next season!

Does Austin possess the pace that Hughes would ideally like in his man up top? I'm not sure really. I think we'll look abroad for a striker. Jack Rodwell has shown nothing in the last three seasons to make me think he'll fulfil his early promise. Will we go back fro Cattermole? I like Trippier as well if the price is right, but surely that would mean one of Cameron or Bardsley leaving. Benteke will be far too expensive and will leave even if Villa survive.

Fer , why, ?, we already have better, he must be a jinx, always in a relagation battle,, Fer is excellent, alongside N'Zonzi with Bojan slightly ahead would be an incredible midfield. Also a perfect N'Zonzi replacement if he won't sign a new contract. |

Also, what about players from Championship clubs who won't get to the Prem this time around? For instance, Bournemouth must have something about them. Who is any good. Wilosn scores the goals and is only 23 and Matt Richie looks like a good, direct, goal-scoring winger. Will Hughes at Derby has always been touted and I've always rated Sako at Wolves, not to mention Mowatt at Leeds. There will be players available and a couple might just be good options.

Didn't we sign Huth from a relegated side? yes, from Middlesbrough, and we signed N'Zonzi from Blackburn when they were relegated. |
