Is it just me or does this transfer signify the end of the world as we know it?

because he's a vile little cunt that the media will lovingly call "kid" even though he's a father! He's everything wrong with the current game, bob average and yet will make more money in 1 year than most of us will in our lifetime. I can go on all night but Ive got go to sleep now to get up for work...something Sterling can pick and choose it seems. the problem is with the game, not the player. there is no player who would turn down the opportunity that he is now getting, so he is no different to anyone. the venom should be directed towards those who have created the monster. Scudamore, Murdoch etc. People moan about the products of this system but are happy enough to go on subsidising it. You cant have it both ways.

Haha. Just notice BBC are featuring a video article title "6 of the best raheem sterling goals" like he is some kind of goal machine. The six goals will represent around 33% of the 18 PL goals he managed to score in 95 games for the dippers. A goal every 5 games.

Liverpool have done very well to paint sterling as the villain and have used every ounce of their media influence to do it. It's quite clear what really happened.
- Sterling knew his renewal was coming up but said he wanted to wait until the summer to think about it.
- Liverpool wanted him to sign early so put a deal on the table.
- he again said he wanted to wait until the summer.
- they tried to force his hand by upping the offer, and then started putting the negative rumours in the press when he wouldn't sign it.
- he got his back up over the rumours and did that stupid interview.
- now hes fallen out with Rodgers and Liverpool have properly gone for his throat with their press contacts.
If the club had left the renewal to this summer he wouldnt be leaving imo.

Sterling has a right twat of an agent who was slagging everyone off left right and centre, Sterling himself gave an unsanctioned interview where he had a whine, and that talk of waiting til the summer came only after he'd had his head turned (most probably by Man City telling him they'd pay him £200k/wk...) and was clearly a way to try to escape the heat til he could seal his exit in the summer. It's then been Sterling's side that have been briefing the press with all manner of excuses for his petulant greedy behaviour, including my personal favourite that 'Brendan Rodgers was always standing too close to him so he could get in photos with him', I mean FFS. If we're defending 20-year-olds for acting the twat and forcing a move to oil money, then football really is doomed.

Sterling is a very talented player, but there is something wrong with him in my view. There are too many issues cropped up; tiredness, needs a break/rest, contract, left on bench, etc. Can't help feeling that he is another one of history's talented footballers who's career "get's lost" along the way and his talent is wasted because of other deficiencies.

Sterling's agent is driven by greed, and Liverpool tried to call his bluff and failed. Im my eyes Sterling is just a stupid young kid who's bitten off more than he can chew.

Is it just me that doesn't rate Sterling?
A good player with some potential but he's certainly no world beater, especially when you compare him to Rooney at the same age.
I think his goalscoring and assists statistics are pretty average at best?

I don't think there is another player right now who's career I would love to see plummet downhill into obscurity. How Liverpool have managed to get 49m for this horrible little shit is quite astonishing.

Incredible that they've got 49m for a player who has been bang average for them. Top 6 player, yes, but title challenging first team regular - no

Every time I see him play I see a player who can't finish and makes the wrong decision when in possession 8 times out of 10.
