I'd snap their hand off at £30m and am amazed they've gone in that high.
But suppose Liverpool know they'll be back and know they can eke out another £5m or so.

But it's a hell of a lot of money!

It's a hell of a lot of money for someone who could very well be another SWP/Lennon/Ruel Fox.
He's not showing many signs of having that subtlety and finishing power that really separates the men from the boys at the highest level.
Mind you, I remember saying the same thing about Cristiano Ronaldo in about 2003, and a switch was suddenly flicked and he became unplayable.
Either way, I'd be surprised if he became more than a good Premier League player from what I've seen.

Perhaps Liverpool don't want to sell a decent player just to give Brenton an extra 30 million to spunk up the wall on shite, like he did last summer.

If he was Spainish or Italian or any other of the big football nationalities he wouldn't be worth anywhere near 30 mill. The lad really doesnt have an end product its shocking Liverpool think he's worth 50 million. It just shows the lack of English talent.

Why is that? Is somebody trying to tell me something...? I cant figure it out.

I am perhaps setting the bar unfairly high by comparing him to Ruel! Still, for a couple of seasons he was very Sterling-esque in an era where there wasn't quite the hype surrounding young English players there is now.

I'ts a case of a good player believing the hype, he's good but given a choice of him the OX or Theo I would go with OX then Theo then Stirling third.

Will some club pay £50m? Daft to rule it out
Will Liverpool sell for significantly less? Daft to rule that out too
my guess is he will go for within £5m of £40m & probably to Man City

Sterling was very very good when Liverpool had Suarez. No coincidence that his form has suffered since he has gone and Sturridge is always out.
He's a little tosspot but he can become a world class player in the right environment.

Prat at he may be and he hasn't had a great season for sure but to me he has it in him to be the real deal. I think staying at Liverpool is a bad idea. As an England fan I would like to as him playing Champions League football.

He's a lot better than some on here are giving him credit for. He looked top class in a decent side, stick him with Aguero/Silva and the like and he'll be a great signing I think.
